Harry's House (Muggles welcome too!)

The instructions sent prior to arrival were clear and easy to follow. Parking was easy and onsite, and check-in using the key safe was straightforward. The property has pretty much everything you need for a stay, with plenty of cutlery and crockery, a functioning fridge, toaster and kettle. There were no issues with the hot water or heating, and the fans provided were a nice addition. There is also lots of storage throughout the property, and bedding including a duvet, bottom sheet and pillows was provided for the sofa bed. The location is very convenient, with supermarkets, takeaways and other amenities close by. The Harry Potter theme is carried throughout the property and the children absolutely loved it. The cloaks are a great idea and there are some lovely touches throughout. I particularly liked that all the clocks showed the correct time, which demonstrates good attention to detail. When I accidentally locked myself out, the provider responded very quickly, came to the property to let me back in and apologised, which was appreciated. The children had a great time and really enjoyed the theme. We would stay again if the issue with the musty/damp smell was resolved, as that was the main thing that affected the stay for me.

The main issue for me was the noticeable musty/damp smell when entering the property, which remained during our stay. Unfortunately, the towels provided also had a damp odour. This was the biggest thing that let the accommodation down for me. Although the key-safe instructions were easy to follow, there was nothing to advise that the front door closes and locks automatically. I left the key inside while going back to the car for my bag and found myself locked out. Thankfully, I had my phone with me and could contact the provider. It would be helpful to include a warning about this in the arrival instructions, particularly as someone without their phone could find themselves stuck outside. We were provided with two toilet rolls, but neither was a full roll and there were no spares in the property, so I had to go out and buy more. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and quite springy. The lighting is quite dim, particularly in the main bedroom. I appreciate that this is partly personal preference as I like rooms to be bright, and lamps are provided, but I would have preferred more lighting. I imagine it could feel particularly dark during the winter months. It would also be good if the entrance light worked. Both TVs are on the small side, particularly the one in the conservatory, and a coffee table in the living room would be a useful addition when sitting on the sofa watching TV. There is also an iron mark on the living-room floor, although this didn’t cause us any problems. There is quite a lot of traffic noise from the surrounding main roads. This is obviously outside the provider’s control, but it is worth being aware of if you’re looking for somewhere particularly quiet.

Excellent property, the Harry Potter theme was thought out and was amazing. The facilities included Virgin TV, and plenty of fans throughout. The property was in an excellent location, 10 minute walk from Watford tube station and 10-15 minute walk from the centre.

Some minor improvements such as a newer fridge, and checking the electricals as there were signs of burning in one or two plug sockets which was concerning

We had the most amazing stay. The flat is absolutely spotless and each of the rooms are so carefully designed to bring to life the magic of Harry Potter before, or after visiting the studio tours. Our children were absolutely delighted with the bedroom and the common room. Every time we looked around there were more things to notice, bringing the theme to life. The hosts were amazing at communicting with us before, during and after our stay. Everything you could need is available, including a high chair, and, after a long drive, we really appreciated the milk in the fridge on arrival. We also paid for a dairy free cake and birthday decorations, which were amazing and well worth it if visiting for a special occasion. The cake is delicious. There is absolutely nothing to dislike. We were sad to be leaving and would highly recommend! Thanks so much for a superb stay.

Great location for Warner Bros. Harry Potter The accommodation tried very hard to provide an atmospheric Harry Potter feel for children. The information given in advance was excellent and informative. The parking was excellent and the contact withe property owners/managers helpful.

The property was ‘fusty’ and this aggravated my asthma. The property was a bit tired and needed a good spring clean and a bit of a spruce up.
