Mill House

Perfect for a relaxed over night stay. Warm, comfortable, spacious, quiet. Right beside the locally famous Forgotten World Highway. Great Shower, bath looked good too! Plenty of cereal options for breakfast or 10 minutes down the road for a huge cooked breakfast at the Whangamomona Tavern! Classic farm villa fully refurbished for modern living. Large enough to host a family or perhaps a few couples for peaceful retreat. Friendly house cat.

Mill House is such a charming property. The attention to detail was mind blowing right down to the choice of Vegemite or Marmite for our toast. We stayed at two 5-star hotels before getting to Mill House, but staying here was certainly the highlight of our trip! Amanda and Kitten were amazing hosts and we are already talking about how we want to return for a longer stay. As an additional nice touch, a bull calf was born during our stay, and Amanda was kind enough to let us name him.

There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like. In fact, I wished it was my permanent home.

Spotless, beautifully decorated, well stocked, cosy fire, helpful owners, lovely outlook, quiet and different to anywhere else we stayed.

Little bit frosty morning, but lovely eggs for breakfast and warm fire sorted that.

Our stay was idyllic, so peaceful and relaxing. We had absolutely everything we needed and more. We arrived to the fire on, a coziness in the air, fresh flowers throughout the house and then entered our host for the weekend, Kitten! So friendly and playful. The kitchen is beautifully renovated and there was more than enough cutlery, crockery etc. Board games and DVD's, plenty of reading material too. The aim was to relax and unwind, Mill House is the perfect place for this. Listening to bird song, an Eastern Rosella made a visit, spring lambs and beautiful sunsets. The linens and bed's surpassed expectation, so luxurious and comfy. Shower pressure exceptional and a range of beautiful toiletries. It's the small details that make a huge difference, we will be back! Thank you Amanda 10/10
