About this house rental
This is a cozy stand alone home surrounded by old, beautiful trees, in a nice, quiet neighborhood, with enough room for a family or group of friends looking to stay close to the canyons and only a 20 minute drive to downtown Salt Lake City. The house has a private patio nestled against the trees in the backyard, full kitchen, family room, dining room, two large bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The full size bed has a brand new 12” mattress. There is parking space for multiple cars. Extra precautions have been taken to carefully sanitize the guesthouse.
There are a few great restaurants within walking distance (and a lot more within a few minutes drive in any direction) and the 6200 South I-215 freeway exit/entrance is only a one minute drive away, which puts you at the mouth of the canyon on your way to Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird, and Alta for world-class skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, and more! The resorts of Park City are only 30 minutes away via I-215 and I-80.
The family room includes a large HDTV with Comcast cable with over 70 channels. There is high-speed WiFi available throughout the house and a cabinet full of board games to keep you entertained at night! The kitchen includes a full stove, full size fridge, dish-washer, and sink, plus access to the patio which is stocked with patio furniture and a gas grill.
One bedroom is furnished with a king size bed and the other has a full size bed along with a desk. Both have plenty of furniture and closet space to store your clothes during the stay. There is a queen-sized air mattress that can be used for additional sleeping, along with a single size air mattress, and the couch in the family room is very comfortable. The house also contains a pack-n-play and stroller.
The house is in an ideal situation and in addition to everything the canyons offer, you are only five minute drive from a golf course, a ten minute drive to the nearest rec. center (which contains a beautiful pool and hot tub), and a 10 minute drive from Fashion Place mall (largest mall in Utah).
The owners live next-door and are happy to make individual recommendations. There are bicycles available upon request.

Beautiful home, great amenities with easy access to skiing and all of Salt Lake City. Host is wonderful - great communication and very responsive to questions. I will seek out this home again for future visits to the area.

My wife and I were joined by our 2 adult sons and our 8 year old granddaughter for the last leg of a multi-stop ski trip my wife and I were on. The property itself was exactly as described in the VRBO listing and Joan was one of the most welcoming (fresh cookies upon arrival and and an abundance of snacks/treats in the kitchen) and responsive hosts we've encountered. All in all, we had a very positive stay. But, I do have 2 observations to make that others might want to consider if they are thinking about renting this property:1) Even though the VRBO listing says the property has a sleeping capacity of 6, we found that the sleeping arrangements were a bit "tight" for our group of 4 adults and 1 child. There wasn't as much space flexibility re the use of an air mattress as we were hoping for. Not a huge issue. We made it work. Just something to be aware of if your group size 4.2) The furnishings and decorations in the living and dining area are quite nice and many of them were purchased by the owners in Asia. I was always on edge during our stay as my granddaughter seemed to always want to be picking up decorations to look at them and/or wasn't always as careful as I wanted her to be re the use of coasters, etc. Again, not a huge issue...just something to be aware of if your party includes kids who are a bit rambunctious and/or have a tendency to be less than careful with furnishings and decorations.I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed at this property for 11 days while visiting our son and his family. The location was excellent for both proximity to our son's home and for proximity to Big Cottonwood canyon, restaurants, grocery, and other parks. We would definitely stay here again. A bonus was the big front yard and play set that our grand daughters loved. We also enjoyed the small special extras from our hosts such as a supply of coffee, snacks, and tomatoes fresh from their garden!
