Dioniss Apartment

We liked the location in the historic city centre and the fact that it is a pedestrian area, which is especially important when travelling with young children. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, and it is easy to find parking close to the accommodation. The area is quiet most of the time, except on Saturday evenings when the surrounding restaurants can be busy until late. The apartment is spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and everything was clean when we arrived. Check-in and check-out were straightforward and easy. We were initially concerned about the narrow and steep spiral staircase inside the apartment, as the apartment is spread over three levels. However, we left the bathroom light on during the night in case one of the children needed to get up, and this was manageable.

Some of the windows do not have curtains, so a few members of our group had to use eye masks to block the light. One important criterion when choosing this accommodation was the washing machine, as we were coming from the mountains and needed to wash our clothes. The washing machine was listed on Booking.com and it still appears in the photos. However, it was not working when we arrived. We called the owner, who told us that the website mentioned that the washing machine was not functional, although we could not find this information when making the reservation. As a result, we had to buy additional clothes the following morning. Future guests who rely on laundry facilities may wish to confirm their availability before booking.

The stairs inside are a bit steep for kids, so they slept on the second floor.

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. We particularly liked the traditional character of the apartment. The location was perfect. Right in the historical centre minutes from the markets and many restaurants. Communication was easy and convenient with the hosts.

Overrated! We took it because of the location and the high rating. The host was very welcoming and attentive, until we complained about the cleaning... He even told us we can go to sleep in a hotel if we have such "High standards" 3rd floor bedroom is a major hazard, I wouldn't recommend putting kids to sleep there. Not sure what safety regulation will allow such stairs or doors. Cleaning was an issue.
