A practical apartment, but be prepared to do the washing and cleaning yourself!
I liked the fact that there was no physical contact and no need for a reception desk which made the need to arrive at a certain time, quite flexible. We could pick up the keys from a box and leave it there when we left. The fact that we had sent in all our personal details previous to our arrival, meant that the Schwarzwald / Black Forest Tourist Card was already on the living room table, ready to use! I also liked the two bottles of complimentary beer, bottle of water, and carton of milk - a very nice touch! The balcony was also long and roomy, which was quite pleasant.
The apartment was dusty! I'm asthmatic so extremely sensitive to the dust from the fake brick wall, the fake fur rug under the coffee table, and the dust from the unvarnished wooden floors! I was also dismayed to see that the fridge was leaking because the fridge door wouldn't shut properly, and the only way to get to the bathroom was through the tiny kitchen, causing not only a session of bumps and collisions when opening and closing the bathroom door, but also awkwardness and discomfort! Worse of all, we were given four (4) pages of instruction on cleaning the bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom, as well as where and how to wash utilities and equipment used, during our stay! We nevertheless complied, but I was unhappy that we weren't given the option to self-clean, or pay for the service instead.

Hinterzarten ist ein schönes Örtchen, der Wald und die Nähe zu den Seen war top. Schöne Spaziergänge und Wanderungen außerhalb der Wohnung waren das Highlight.
Leider ist das „Kuckucksnest“ eine totale Bruchbude. Zwar aufgeräumt, aber wenn man genauer hinsieht ziemlich dreckig. Gerade das Bad. Hier wird man von Schimmel und Wasserschaden begrüßt. Schade war auch, dass man die Zimmer nicht verdunkeln kann. So ist es schon ab 5 Uhr sehr hell gewesen und alle waren wach. Über den Tag heizt die Wohnung stark auf, den Balkon kann man morgens nicht nutzen, da es keinen Sonnenschutz gibt. Auch war es ziemlich laut, da die Wohnung an der Hauptverkehrsstraße liegt. Hätte niemals gedacht, dass solch ein Verkehr ist, selbst nachts. Weiter gab es kein wlan, obwohl die Unterkunft schriebt, es gibt wlan kostenlos zur Verfügung. Wir waren zu viert, was sehr kuschlig war. Enge Betten, jeder Tritt und Schritt auf dem Boden knarzt, Pappwände - alles optisch „renoviert“, aber nur Schein als Sein. Man soll alles sauber halten - aber nur ein kleiner schwamm vorhanden… Schade!

Forêt noire toujours très agréable mais gros embouteillages vers Bade Paradise et station Feldberg.
Emplacement, disposition logement, taille des chambres, mobilier salon agréable.
Partiellement rénové, problème d'humidité, odeurs et moisissures salle de bain. Pas internet. Frigo petit.
