Brand new apartments Ortiquattro

Ugo was an amazing host and proactively contacted us before arriving and ensured we arrived and were well set up with our apartment. The apartment is 2 metro stops away from the Duomo and in a quiet and safe location. The facilities are very secure, with a huge and solid door closed at nights and weekends with passcode access, as well as another keypad to gain entry to the hallway where the apartments are located. The door to the apartment itself is akin to a safe door, very solid and secure with electronic locking bolts. There was no outside noise. The facilities were very clean and included a washing machine to do laundry, as well as a full size refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable and soft. Wi-Fi is also run through a secure server, though it is also very alert to personal VPN IP addresses and the typical Norton or easy to use VPN service to try to link through the US to stream services will have issues connecting. TV in the apartment has Netflix and able to watch what is available to stream in Italy, but you may want to load specific shows ahead of time or else be a pro at configuring your personal VPN to get past the solid security of the establishment's Wi-Fi.

"7" for overall score solely to alert US travelers to fully understanding air conditioning differences and limitations compare to their expectations. We unfortunately set our travels when Europe was going through the extreme heat spell in June 2026 that had heat stroke deaths in France and that even had Amsterdam reaching 35 C!! :( The AC in the apartment was unable to keep up with the outside temperature, where the apartment eventually got to 28 C during the heat of the day in the main floor and the upstairs bed was even hotter. The AC tried its best, and my coworkers staying in adjacent apartments also saw their room temperatures battling to stay below 26 C, so this was not an isolated issue to the one apartment's AC. Both my ladies (wife and daughter) ended up suffering heat exhaustion and we needed to move to the airport hotel the last night to find AC that could cool them down. I am 1 for 3 in my selection of locations in Milan during the hot season and finding adequate AC (to US people expectations), so this is not something I would attribute solely to this facility, and would advise those traveling with heat sensitive companions to stay with established chain hotels that are specifically known for setting up their facilities with a strong AC system. But if you find yourself understanding of the limitations of AC in much of Europe and know how to hydrate and cool off, or you find yourself in Milan during <25-30 C weather, the friendliness, safety and cleanliness of this property definitely impressed me compared to other past visits and accommodations in the heart of Milan.

Easy check-in process, quiet location and space, washing machine (super helpful), good spots to eat, grocery stores nearby, nice design/layout and furnished with all the necessities.

The location is great we were able to walk to the Duomo in 15 minutes. Restaurants close by and convenience stores near. Well equipped. Perfect for two of us.Staff incredibly helpful and we felt very safe and secure
