The hotel was good enough. I recommend staying there.

The stuffs were nice and supportive. The room was clean having a road facing window. The breakfast was okay. Bathroom and toilets were clean but it was shared, not attached to the room. Location is good. Very near to the didcot parkway station.

The room was a bit small but enough for 1/2 person. I liked almost everything.

Disappointing

Closeness to centre and station

Window blinds were thick in dust. There was a very uncomfortable plastic drawsheet on the bed. Broken socket on the extension lead meant juggling for a working power socket. The room smelt of damp. Breakfast was included but was poor: tea/coffee, milk, cereal boxes, yoghurts, long-life pain chocolats and croissants.

Couldnt get my tv to work. The room was ground floor i would of prefered to be at the back rather than the front as i felt a little uneasy being on the street. Would 100% stay there again if it had ensuite bathroom or even just your own toilet.

Location was very near the station. Flexible check-in time.

Thin walls so quite noisy in hearing people move around the house, which is unnerving. No window to the outside so felt quite claustrophic. Dirty carpet. Very soft mattress. £6.50 to park car for just one night. Poor breakfast - cheap cereal; brown bananas.

Avoid – refuses to issue legally required invoices

The photos of the rooms are misleading and do not reflect the actual conditions. The owner has repeatedly refused to provide an invoice, despite this being a legal requirement. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Its not the properties fault but people in the other rooms were incredibly noisy the night I was there. I was in the room right by the kitchen and bathrooms so I was woken by people as they walked past.

close to the Didcot train station and to the Didcot shopping center, nice touches (i.e. toothbrush, cookies in room)

dated room, shared bathroom, minimal breakfast, TV antenna needed to be moved for reception, no person on-site (access via keybox via e-mail/phone ... a problem, when you have no communication device)

disappointing and horrendous

Nothing to like, Bedroom door would not lock on flat 1 also the handle snapped twice whilst trying to close the door, and this is on the ground floor, blinds allowed people outside to see in as they were twisted and damaged, the blinds were also very dusty and looked like they had not been cleaned for months this was in room 1 and 5. I have taken photo's if you wish to see them. breakfast was not as expected, rice krispies and coco pops are insufficient for 4 adults and packets of croissants are not a healthy option, there was 1 bathroom to share between 5 rooms which were all occupied, beds were not double size, the whole property is a HMO (house of multiple occupancy) very dissatisfied and would not recommend anyone to book it.

This is a cheap B&B. The price was low for Didcot.

The room was described as "Deluxe." This must be some new definition of deluxe which I have never come across before. There is only one bathroom for the entire house with a door (I think illegally) off the kitchen. Room 1 is on the ground floor, fronting on to the pavement - and immediately opposite a school. It felt very awkward getting dressed in the morning - particularly as the Venetian blinds were damaged.

Broken and damaged kitchenware. Smelly toilet. No drinking bottled water supply. The blinders in the room is dusty. No box supplied in the room and I need to pick up from the toilet. There is coffee machine but no instructions how to use it! There is sugar in the kitchen but all melted. There is strange noise in the morning, which is banging on the walls for 10 seconds, then stopped and repeat two more times. It’s nearly a nightmare for staying there.

Good location just a bit let down by it’s facilities.

Location was good nice telly and a much appreciated fan in the room. Comfy bed.

Stairs were very steep. Shared bathroom was on the ground floor and served all four rooms. Could reach the pull cord to turn on the light, cord is cut very short. Bathroom is also only accessible from the kitchen. Breakfast is very basic and totally self service. Can’t comment on the staff as I met none at the property and my room was not serviced after the first night. The booking listing appears to have every box ticked. For instance towels and linen are both bring your own and supplied. It is definitely more of an air b & b than a conventional bed and breakfast.

Guest Left Immediately, Still Charged Full Price

I made a last-minute booking for a guest just a few hours before check-in. Upon arrival, the guest found that the condition of the room did not meet expectations (too many rooms share one toilet) and left immediately WITHOUT using any of the facilities. The room remained untouched and breakfast was not consumed. I contacted the owner to request a partial refund, given the minimal time the booking held the room and no use of services. The owner refused and insisted on charging the full amount. I find this policy unreasonable and disappointing, especially considering the circumstances.

Location was excellent, close to the station - but not so close that train noise would be a problem; the accommodation was clean and comfortable.

No-one available to greet us on arrival, just after 6 pm. Only one cup and glass provided, also only one set of towels, although we had booked for two people. Breakfast was disappointing - limited range of cereal, no high-fibre option. Toaster available - but no bread to toast. The only fruit on offer was one rather unappetising banana.

Pragmatic solution for a one nights sleep.

I have gotten used to reasonable hotels. This is more of a Bed and Breakfast place. It was pragmatic I might stay there again if needed. Late check in using key box was super!

Reasonable priced convenient room

What I appreciated most about my stay was its practical convenience. The room itself was clean and situated in an excellent location, just a short distance from the town centre, making it easy to get around. The inclusion of breakfast was a definite plus, and the simple, grab-and-go options like croissants, fresh milk, yoghurt, and bananas suited my needs perfectly. Additionally, the presence of a TV with Freeview and reliable internet access were welcome amenities.

On the other hand, there were a few aspects that could have been better. The property could certainly benefit from a renovation, as the furniture felt quite dated. While the description mentioned a "garden view," my window actually overlooked the front, which was a bit misleading. The shared bathroom situation had the potential to be inconvenient during busier times, although the extra WC and sink nearby were helpful. While the mattress was adequate, a firmer option would have been preferable. Finally, the lack of on-site parking was a slight drawback, and the ground-floor room became uncomfortably hot with the heating on, making me hesitant to open the windows at night for safety reasons. Nobody on site.
