Well equipped, well maintained and well located for discovering the wonders of Galloway. Good parking provision. Rural feel whilst close proximity to facilities at Castle Douglas

Heating seemed to be too high for the living room and non existent to bedroom 1. Wouldn't have thought it would be necessary at all at this time of year. Choice of a summer duvet would be welcome Vehicles entering and leaving the adjacent scrap yard at speed disturbed the tranquil scene Not entirely clear where we should be putting the refuse- bins in the scrap yard or by the farm buildings. It depends where the end of the 'avenue ' is defined. Inadequate light blockage to curtains in bedrooms affected our sleep patterns. Blackout blinds would have helped. The access road to the property from the A713 was heavily potholed. When filled with water it is difficult to determine their depth and as a consequence we had a puncture to one of our tyres. I appreciate you may not have direct control of the access track but please arrange with others to have the potholes filled

Lovely cottage, very clean. Good location

Beautifully presented cottage ,spotlessly clean, in a quiet setting. Near to castle douglas. A great base for exploring the area. A fab welcoming gift awaited us which was a lovely touch.

WiFi was quite slow but didn't spoil our break. A note if the weather is bad the road to the cottage is quite long and narrow with some small inclines.
