Lugnt, stort sovrum. Värdinnan var vänlig och hjälpsam och ordnade en fin båttur. Talade bra engelska.

Beautiful Vietnamese house located in a quiet area.

The owner was very nice and helpful. - Hot water! In all the hotels we booked in Vietnam so far, there was no hot water and we had to ask for it. Here, we had it directly. - The house is near the Mekong river in a garden, so there are mosquitos and some other insect. However the bed had a mosquito net so we were safe. - There is a small "kitchen" where we could make a tea or so (even though we didn't use it). - A member of the family drove us to the bus station after our stay (we had to pay but it was very helpful as there are no direct buses there from Cai Be). - Even though we didn't see the floating markets (see explanation in negative points), we had a nice time in Cai Be. The people here are very nice and we can recommend stopping here.

- We came to Cai Be to see the floating markets. Unfortunately, we didn't know that they never renewed after covid. We asked the owner were could we book a cruise for the markets and she offered to organise it for us. She only told us after getting on the boat that "the markets were not that crowded any more after covid" (but actually there were no markets at all). We then did a cruise on Mekong, visited fruit garden, small canal and a rice farm. The trip took about 3 hours and we had a nice time even though we were a bit disappointed not to see the markets we expected to see. The trip was pretty much the same as we did from Saigon to delta of Mekong, so if you already did this one, consider twice if you want to do it again. - Not a fault of the accomodation, but there is a city radio which starts to broadcast at 4:55 a.m. It's impossible to sleep after then as it's very loud.
