Very central location, almost next door to Braga Cathedral. The room was spacious and very clean.

There was a lot of street noise at night, which is expected. You can't have everything! Had issues with the keypad, but staff was prompt to assist.

Location - cleanliness, wonderful assistance when I thought I hadn’t received the codes😄😄😄

Lack of hot water in the shower

Our flight from Porto was cancelled and as we could not get another for a few days we opted to visit Braga. It was evening before we got there and looked for somewhere to stay and we booked via Booking.com late. Despite that, the codes for the doors were sent through promptly and we had a phone call to make sure we had got into the property alright. It was extremely kind of our hosts to ensure we had a bed for the night. I suspect room 13 would probably not normally have been let because an extension to it is in the process of being constructed outside what would have been a balcony. There is a dining/kitchen on the top floor for guests' use and it has a good supply of crockery but while there is a cooker, there are no pans. There is however a combi microwave. There is also a large fridge for guests to store food. The guest house is in the same square as the cathedral so very very central for the city. Room 13 is at the back so very quiet. The square has many cafes which are very very popular at night, so I can imagine the front rooms, while having the better view, would also be noisy. The whole place is squeaky clean. Maps of the city are available in the foyer which was good for strangers to find their way around.

A pan would have been useful in the kitchen, so we could have boiled an egg for breakfast or cooked a simple meal. Although a toaster was available, it appeared as if someone had tried to cook something fatty in it for when we tried to make toast, it gave off clouds of smoke. Salt and pepper pots might have been nice to have.
