Hostal Apartamentos Playa del Palo

I was assigned to N° 10. Spacious studio, clean, very comfortable, beautiful environment, quiet. The beach is close by. The neighborhood is well connected by buses to the city center.

You have to pay a deposit of 100 euros on arrival, in cash. It is true that it is mentioned in Booking, but to wait 14 days to retrieve the deposit is absurd. Besides you can do nothing if they decide to keep the money !!I think it's more reasonable to return the deposit when you return the keys and after making sure the studio is OK. In my case I was refunded on day 14 after the checkout, and only after sending a message to the person in charge. Two other things that didn't bother me but still are worth mentioning : The coffee machine mentioned is actually a coffee pot. No outdoor furniture.

The swimming pool is a great size and was clean, the rooms were also great, the beds were comfortable and the location is great as it’s only a few minutes drive to the shops and the beach.

Nothing, it is a great place to stay.

The location is perfect if you have a hire car. Easy access to Malaga, Nerja and beyond with motorway access nearby. The hostess is on-hand to assist and she's very nice, I just wish I spoke better Spanish. The bed is very comfortable, and the apartment has everything you need for a basic stay. There are a few shops just a little wander away for basics like milk and bread, and El Palo is in easy walking distance for the beach and good bars and restaurants. The pool area was excellent and well maintained, but we went in March so far too cold to swim.

As a larger gent, the shower was a little on the small side, but it was clean, and the water was at good pressure. The quiet hours made it lovely but we panicked a little bit too much about every noise we made, hoping our voices didn't carry.
