Stunning property, location and views!

Stunning property, location and views! View of Lions Head right in front of it. The living room, kitchen, pool & front of the property is all part of the booking which we hadn’t realised so it was all ours to enjoy privately. The property is impeccably looked after and clean. George who manages it day to day is brilliant, extremely helpful, always available and very kind. 10 minute walk to Kloof Street which has lots of great restaurants and grocery shop.

Gem of a place and the perfect base for exploring Cape Town and the wider area

We had an absolutely wonderful few days at Kensington Views and simply cannot recommend it, or its charming hosts, highly enough. George was so very welcoming and friendly, and looked after us extremely well during our stay. We really enjoyed our chats with him and very much appreciated the gift from Elisabeth and him for our special anniversary - so kind and completely unexpected, thank you! The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, immculately kept throughout our stay. Well-equipped inside and very tastefully furnished with many thoughtful little touches. In addition, we had exclusive use of all the lovely outside spaces - perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views of Lions Head and Table Mountain. As a base for exploring Cape Town and the amazing Cape peninsula, it proved absolutely perfect and really helped make our first time visiting Cape Town so special and memorable. Thank you again Elisabeth and George - we hope it won't be too long before we can return to stay with you again!

Quintessential Cape Town elegance in the perfect location.

Very warm welcome from Elisabeth and her manager, George. Fabulous location with views of both Lion’s Head and Table Mountain and an easy walk into all the bars and restaurants of Kloof Street. The property is just beautiful with a lovely bedroom, huge bathroom and a separate kitchen/dining area. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Cape Town.

Fabulous place with lots of private space inside and out

This property is just a beautiful place with character and lots of space inside and out. We had a lovely private garden area with sun beds and small pool and dining area with steps up to the entrance with a lovely terrace which ran the full length of the building and had a great view of the Lion's head and Table mountain. Elisabeth and Eric looked after us so well, and what a bonus to meet Alfie the great dane and chatting to Roy. The area, in 'Gardens' is quiet and we felt extremely safe there with plenty of room on the street to park our car. This is without doubt the best accommodation we have stayed in in Cape town and hope to return next year.

Beautiful safe location with epic views of Table Mountain

Firstly Elisabeth and Eric were great hosts. The views of Table Mountain and Lions Head were incredible. The location was extremely safe and very located with a cheap taxi down to main areas. Oh and Alfie the dog was a proper softie and enjoyed the fuss.

Perfect accommodation with great views and everything you could need in a wonderful neighbourhood.

The property itself was absolutely gorgeous. Large bedroom and enormous bathroom all perfectly decorated, feeling luxury and homely at once. The pool area was spectacular, nestled between Table Mountain and Lion's Head with views every direction. Eric and Elisabeth were attentive and kind hosts. We were incredibly well looked after. Gardens is our favourite neighbourhood in Cape Town. Great vibes, lots of quirky places to eat and drink and felt very safe. If you're considering booking this place, just do it! We will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning!

It was awesome. We loved everything and everybody. The view from the poolside was absolutely stunning. Elisabeth and Eric was absolutely fantastic. Everytime again. We enjoyed every second. It was a safe area, in walking distance you are in the bear of restaurants and everything you need.

Fabulous, relaxing stay at a wonderful place

Large beautiful space, internally and externally, with own entrance. The accommodation felt larger than it looks on Booking.com. It had a fantastic private outside space with various areas and terrace to relax in between outings. The whole interior is period glamorous, particularly the bathroom and is gorgeous and comfortable. Very tastefully furnished with a comfortable large bed. Very good location, close to the top of Kloof street, with it’s many fantastic restaurants and bars. Our host Elisabeth was lovely and we felt lucky to spend 6 days there in glorious weather. Will definitely visit again.

Very own palace with a beautiful view of lions head and table mountain.

The location is amazing, it is a quiet and safe neighborhood, close to a lot of good restaurants and a very short Uber to city center. we felt at home in our mini apartment with private pool. Thank you Elisabeth and Eric for the stay!

This is an amazing place! Reality far exceeded expectations! Photos do not convey the beauty of this place! Stunningly beautiful home filled with warmth and comfort! Very cool decor! Beautiful stay in Gardens

This was our second time in South Africa and second time staying at Elizabeth’s property, as we love it so much! A lovely bedroom with spacious bathroom and separate small kitchen area. Absolutely beautiful terrace / small pool to relax with the most stunning views. Eric/Elizabeth were both so helpful once again. Hopefully we will return a third time!!

City living at it's best.

Superb location in this quiet and safe part of the city with stunning views of Table Mountain and LIons Head. Elisabeth and Eric made us feel very welcome. The fabulous terrace pool and front verandah are generiously equipped with loungers and exterior furniture and perfect for relaxing in the summer sunshine. The bedroom is large and well furnished opening up onto the verandah which is so nice on hot summer mornings. The shower room was exceptionally well equipped with a lovely large shower enclosure and powerful shower. We were thankful for the air conditioning in the hot weather. Elisabeth had thought of everything and we found this the perfect base for visiting the city. What made this stay even more special for us was the privacy we enjoyed at this superb residence. We plan to return.

Elisabeth is such a friendly and accommodating host. She was exceptional and she would respond to our questions right away. Eric was also super helpful and made sure our stay was top notch - he was very friendly and accommodating in every sense. It felt like we were staying at our own private mini villa with our own mini pool (which the size was perfect), beautiful scenic views of the Lions head and Table mountain. Lovely terrace to enjoy the wonderful surroundings, super clean and comfortable space. Located in a safe and beautiful location such as the Gardens - easy access to get around town. Free parking available in front of the building, cool bars and restaurants in the area. The perfect setting for your Cape Town getaway. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We loved it. Beautiful Kensington views

We loved our stay at Elizabeth’s beautiful property. It is so private despite being part of Elizabeth’s house, you get your own mini kitchen with fridge and table as well as bedroom and bathroom and then private terrace and mini pool. the views from the pool are absolutely stunning - you look right onto table mountain. The bed was extremely comfortable and lovely powerful hot shower. Importantly, Elizabeth and Eric were both really great hosts and were contactable at all times. You simply said the previous evening when you would like breakfast and this was brought to you (lovely continental breakfast with yoghurts, croissants and fruit and Elizabeth even bought dairy free milk for me as advised). Fantastic location just 15 minutes walk (or a couple of minutes in an Uber) from Kloof Street. If we come back to Cape Town then we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Kensington Views. It holds special memories for us - particularly as we got engaged whilst staying there!!

A great, beautiful and comfortable place for a relaxing stay.

Kensington Views is a total gem, it feels like coming home. It's even better than it looks at the spectacular photos. What a luxury to have a whole floor and terrace by yourself, for example. The house is perfectly located in a calm and beautiful surronding. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and caring. We had the best vacation here. We have just booked our next stay at Cape Town at this wonderful place, for next year. It's just perfect!

Exceptional guest house in Cape Town

This guest house is ideally located in one of the calmest residential area of Cape Town, it is a great location to go on to your visits in or out of town. Parking is available and free just in front of the house. We felt just like at home thanks to the warm welcome from Elizabeth and Eric. The room and amenities are top notch with a big comfortable bed and a huge bathroom. You also have access to a lovely garden area with a view on table mountain. I really recommend this guest house and will definitely keep it in my address book for next time we are back in Cape Town.

Een ongelooflijke plek, met vanuit het eigen zwembad uitzicht op Lions Head en de Tafelberg. Het appartement is brandschoon, sfeervol en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het bed is heerlijk en de airco werkt goed. De service van George maakte het plaatje helemaal compleet. Ik kan niet wachten om terug te keren!

Kensington Views ist eine echte Ruheoase mitten in Gardens. Der wunderschöne Garten mit Terrasse, blühenden Rosen und Lavendel sowie der private Pool haben uns besonders gefallen. Das Haus ist stilvoll eingerichtet und mit geschmackvollen Antiquitäten ausgestattet, die dem gesamten Anwesen einen besonderen Charakter verleihen. Alles wirkt sehr gepflegt und bis ins Detail liebevoll gestaltet. Joseph ist ein außergewöhnlich herzlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber vor Ort – jederzeit erreichbar, aufmerksam und mit viel Feingefühl. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Unterkunft mit WOW-Effekt!

Das Kensington Views ist ein Bijou und ein Ort, an dem man sich vom ersten Moment an rundum wohlfühlt. Das Haus ist sehr schön, sauber und an einer sicheren Lage. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Das Haus bietet auch eine gute Infrastruktur für Selbstversorger (wir haben sie aber nicht genutzt). Der Aussenbereich ist schlichtweg magisch! Der Garten ist ein Traum! Der Blick auf den majestätischen Tafelberg und den beeindruckenden Lion's Head ist schlichtweg atemberaubend und bietet jeden Tag ein neues, unvergessliches Panorama. Was diesen Aufenthalt jedoch wirklich speziell macht, ist George, die gute Seele des Hauses. Er ist ist so etwas von nett, hilfsbereit und seine aufgestellte Art ist richtig ansteckend. Er ist immer da, wenn man etwas braucht oder eine Frage hat und trägt sehr viel zu der guten Atmosphäre bei. Das Kensington Views ist mehr als nur eine Unterkunft; es ist fast wie ein Zuhause in Kapstadt, wo man es sich gut gehen lassen kann und eine sehr herzliche Gastfreundschaft geniesst! Wir würden sofort wieder buchen!

Perfekte Unterkunft mit unvergesslichem Ausblick

Unschlagbare Lage, tolle, sehr sichere und sehr elegante Gegend. Wunderbare Cafés, Restaurants, Bars sind auf der Kloof Street fussläufig erreichbar. Das Beste ist aber der Ausblick: den Morgen mit einer Tasse Kaffee in der Hand auf der eigenen Terrasse mit Blick auf Lionshead und Tafelberg zu geniessen ist einzigartig, mehr geht in ganz Kapstadt wahrscheinlich nicht. Und die Gastfreundschaft von Elisabeth und vor allem George ist Weltklasse. Danke!!!

Pittoresk authentiek verblijf met luxueuze faciliteiten uitgebaat door gastvrije uitbaters.

Zeer luxueuze badkamer met leuke extraatjes zoals zeepjes en kaarsen, ruimtelijke living en keuken met alle nodige faciliteiten. Authentiek terras met magnifiek uitzicht. Moderne airco en algemeen prachtig interieur.

De douche warmt erg traag op en er kwam weinig water uit. Fornuis is vrij krap met slechts twee kookplaten. Bril van toilet heeft een vreemde vorm waardoor deze niet heel aangenaam zit.

Eine tolle Unterkunft mit einem wahnsinng schönen Blick auf den Lions Head. Der Garten mit dem Pool ist ein weiteres Highlight. George ist die gute Seele des Hauses, der immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr sicheren Gegend mit schneller Anbindung an die Hauptverkehrsstrassen. Zur Kloofstreet ist auch nicht weit. Dort befinden sich eine Menge Restaurants. Das Zimmer ist riesig, sehr stylish eingerichtet und top sauber. Absolute Empfehlung

De locatie was buitengewoon, vrij uitzicht over Lions Head & de Tafelberg, ruim eigen appartement met privé zwembad. Perfecte hospitaliteit van George de huismanager. Echt een parel.
