Amazing, everything we needed and more

The garden was beautiful, it was private, it was peaceful, cottage was charming, hosts had thought of everything you might need. The shower was brilliant and reserved parking at property. Hosts were there if we needed them.

A very small thing, but the couch could have been a bit comfier to relax at night and watch tv

We had a great few days based in Charlestown and walking on the Coast Path.

Superb location - at the centre of Charlestown with various pubs/cafes nearby, bus stops for 2 different routes within 10 minutes walk, great walking on the Coast Path, supermarkets within a few minutes drive. Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage with free parking. The owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful.

The bedroom was a little light in the morning since it's only separated from the main room by a curtain.

Quay Courtyard is fantastic in every way. Perfect base to enjoy Charlestown!

Quay Courtyard was immaculately presented and catered for all our needs during our stay. It is located adjacent to Charlestown Harbour which made it the perfect base for our holiday in Cornwall. Close to a variety of fantastic restaurants and bars. The garden/terrace at the property is wonderful and provides a perfect sun trap to enjoy summer evenings and bright mornings. It truly is idyllic in every way.

Amazing location, easy parking, excellent facilities, stunning garden

Only one thing - we were (unexpectedly) promised a Cornish cream tea on arrival so decided not to have lunch prior to arrival. Then we were surprised to find only a Tesco pastry (maple and pecan - not at all Cornish! and still in the supermarket plastic box) waiting for us. Wouldn’t have bothered us if the cream tea hadn’t been promised in the first place. Also a previous guest had commented in the guest book on the wonderful cream tea so this added insult to injury!

Fantastic birthday break.

Absolutely stunning little cottage, with wonderful hosts who respect your privacy but are always there to help if you need anything. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had such a wonderful feel of Cornwall about it. We had absolutely everything we needed on our break. On top of that, Mo is an amazing artist and I had the opportunity to pick up a couple of her etching prints for my family. Thank you so much Mo & Dave!

The perfect little retreat..

The location is more than perfect. Walking distance to all the restaurants, walks, the beach and local museum. The hosts were super friendly and knowledgeable and their little dog Lilly was super friendly too!

This isn’t really a dislike, but more of a personal preference because we’re light sleepers, the property is flooded with light the moment the sun comes up. Blackout blinds and curtains would have been preferable.

Charlestown April 2021 Stay

Quay Cottage is the perfect escape in the corner of Charlestown. I am a regular visitor to Charlestown as we have family in Duporth and I’d have never have known this hideaway existed. A great retreat and perfect for what our family needed after such a long time apart.

The steps aren’t overly child friendly but this was fine for us! More teabags and shower gel was needed but honestly other than that it was fabulous. The perfect size for 2 people.

Perfect getaway retreat

Modern self contained space. Big open window that lets lots of sunlight in and views to upper garden. Very nice bathroom and kitchen/ bedroom units. A very well kept Mediterranean rear garden which we had access to, as the weather was so nice we made use of this when we came back in the afternoon. Location was perfect and a reserved parking space at front of house. Lovely stay and would highly recommend.

For one of us, the bed and pillows were too firm (but personal preference).

It was perfect for what we needed

Super location right in the heart of the old harbour area of Charlestown. A smart modern annexe to an old cottage with all we needed as a couple, there was a beautiful garden on several levels to use with a conservatory for those days where there was a chill in the air. Charlestown is a great base for touring south Cornwall with easy access to Eden Project etc & connection to the north coast as we went to Padstow & Newquay . The hosts were on hand if needed but generally stayed at arms length but very nice surprise of a cream tea & milk in the accommodation on arrival. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Quay Courtyard to any discerning couple & there is a good chance we will be back in the future as well.

Cant think of any real drawbacks it does exactly what it says in the write up.

Außergewöhnliche Lage in einem tollen kleinem Cornwall-Städtchen mit vielen kleinen Restaurants für jeden Geschmack und süßen individuellen Lädchen von Kunst bis Schnickschnack. Sehr herzig war das Willkommensgeschenk unserer Landlords mit einer typischen Teatime im Kühlschrank! Scones, clotted cream and jam :)

Es war eine wunderschöne kleine Unterkunft ! Perfekt für 2 Personen. Schön gestaltet und der Ort ist einfach klasse. Es gibt tolle Restaurants, man ist am Meer und kann den coast Path direkt vor der Haustür gehen.
