Old Mill Cottage

Internally the property was everything that we needed, and had everything in the kitchen that you'd need to cook a nice meal, Internally everything was great, and a bonus to be pet friendly

Outside space. The courtyard garden was lovely to sit and enjoy the evening sun, but not great for my little dog. It was disappointing that there was no grassy area available or safe walking area to take my dog. I didn't feel safe to walk on the main road as it's classed as 60mph and on a blind bend. There was a little lane that went down to some private properties and so I used this, however one of the residents weas very rude and told us that we couldn't walk there - Against the Right to roam laws in Scotland! We were being very respectful by not going close to any private property, and responsibly picking up after our toy poodle, but they told us we had to use the farmers field to walk our dog. This was not a pleasant walk or experience (not to mention the mud that came back with us). Unfortunately this would prevent us form booking here in the future. Such a shame as we really loved the property and the fact it was a short drive to lots of lovely places.

A fabulous, cute, cottage, ideally located, and with everything you could need... Lovely little touches, the cleaning pack, the hands soap and washing up liquid... Great cottage would definitely use again is we went beck up to Scotland!

If being picky, the only thing I could say, is the shower is a touch small...

Cute character to look at.

The cottage did not feel like there was any real care for occupants. A coffee machine with no coffee pods provided, advertised on booking.com with coffee machine but many different types so couldn’t buy pods. Everywhere else has had at least 4 pods provided. Being told to take glass to town and find a disposal point??? Where to start with that? Reminded to be out before 10, strip beds, take out rubbish. Made us feel ‘put out’ and unwelcome.
