We owned a condo at Kona Makai for 17 years, so are familiar with Sea Village, but have never stayed. Loved the complex, and the unit was in a great location and good condition, and had sunsets from the lanai. Would return.

The property overall was good. The grounds are very well maintained and clean. We were not happy with the unit we stayed in. Because there is no air conditioner, it was uncomfortably warm. When we arrived it was at least 95 degrees in there because the drapes were left open and the afternoon sun was coming in the condo. We could not get it cooled down even with 8 fans running. We couldn't sleep the first night because it was so hot. The bedroom just doesn't get enough air flow. This unit seems to be a bit neglected. The lanai furniture is so rusted that pieces of it kept flaking off onto our clothes and the lanai whenever we used it. The refrigerator had rust on the front. There wasn't a sharp knife in the place and the kitchen scissors wouldn't cut anything. I tried to cut a pineapple, using every knife there was and just made a mess of it because none of them were sharp enough to cut it properly. We were stuck there for 16 days and the bedroom was always uncomfortably warm.
