The Space:
This 3-bedroom plus loft vacation villa is professionally decorated and has a private pool looking out over the fairway at the prestigious Reserva Conchal Resort Community. In addition, this villa has a bonus room and an additional study. This is the only villa in all of Carao that offers a 3rd story loft bedroom. You are also only a 10-minute walk to the beach club!
Located on the 10th hole of the spectacular golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., Villa Carao 3 is a private, three-story vacation villa that sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 Bedrooms and a 3rd story loft bedroom, 3 of which come ensuite with full baths. Need a travel crib? No problem! Just reach out our concierge team to arrange one. Keep in mind they are subjected to availability and have an additional charge.
This villa has all the comforts of home and offers the best resort living. We begin by offering air-conditioning throughout the entire home and a covered carport for 2 vehicles. Cable TV, Wireless broadband internet, and a private phone line are also included in your rental. All televisions are HD flat screens. Cleaning service is included every 2 days from the day of check-in at no additional cost. As a guest of this property, we include a complimentary welcome basket with coffee, coffee filters, salt, pepper, cooking oil, shampoo, and soap, are all included. The villa is FULLY stocked with other bonus items for your personal use such as beach towels, folding beach chairs, a cooler, and more!!!

This well-designed vacation home is built along a gentle slope, allowing you to enter through the front door into the main living area on the 2nd floor. This level is the main living area, with:
The outdoor entertainment space features a large terrace surrounding the in-ground infinity pool, with a wrap-around covered porch with ceiling fans. Under this porch you will find a Dining Table, a Bistro set, and a covered lounge area for relaxing, reading, and observing the wildlife and golfers on the fairway. The large open terrace has comfortable padded chaise lounges surrounding the pool for soaking up the sun. There is also a 1/2 bath off the pool area and an outdoor shower.
The Top Floor is a loft-style bedroom with two twin beds. (Can be converted into a king bed upon request).
The award-winning 71-par championship Robert Trent Jones II Golf Course. Every nine meanders through the rolling terrain with breathtaking ocean views for a challenging and enjoyable eco-golf experience. Lakes and ravines accentuate the course, placing a premium on tee shots and accurate approach shots to the manicured Bermuda grass greens. Local wildlife can be seen enjoying the greenery and water features. There is a complete practice facility, driving range, club storage or rental, golf lessons, and a clubhouse with a pro shop.
Beach Bar - A full-service bar next to the pool with tables and casual seating in a covered lounge area and a large casual dining menu.
Ahuia Spa - This 30,000 ft2 (2,700 m2) spa has 6 treatment rooms and provides an attractive variety of services. Ladies and gentlemen’s steam rooms, soothing relaxation areas, sauna, and a whirlpool will further enhance your experience at Ahuia Spa. A Spa boutique featuring skincare products and accessories offers distinctive at-home attention.
Swimming Pavillion -
A contemporary Swimming Pavilion of a 200 feet (60 meters) pool connects the restaurant and spa section of the facility. There is another pool for children.
Fitness Center - Health-conscious individuals will appreciate Marea Brava, the state-of-the-art fitness center, with Cybex strength and cardio equipment and free weights and personal trainers available by appointment.
The Beach Club is also perfect for weddings, reunions, and all your special events. Event planners are available onsite.

Reserva Conchal is amazing! 2300 acres to explore. If you choose not to rent a car, there is an internal shuttle that can be used inside the resort with advance notice.

We recommend renting a car, but you can do without one. My company can set up taxi and shuttle services as well as rental cars.

Host was welcoming & he & his staff are responsive & helpful if needed. The Villa (Villa Carao 3) is very beautiful. Both inside & its surroundings-immediate ones & Reserva Conchal-are very special! It is also quite spacious & is very comfortable for family and/ or friends to have both private times and times together during vacation. Both the main floor & the floor below have areas to congregate & so does the outdoors at the pool and the terrace level above it. I strongly recommend Villa Carao to others!

This home was perfectly appointed and HUGE for just 5 of us! It had everything we needed and was the perfect location to enjoy Reserva Conchal and all of its amenities plus explore Playa Flamingo, Playa Potrero and Tamarindo Beaches as well other excursions ! The Rental company was wonderful to work with and so communicative and helpful! It would be a dream to return to this home!

Oh wow, what a gem we stumbled upon! Our two families stayed here, and let me tell you, it was way better than we ever hoped. The pictures don't do it justice. Everything felt right at home but with a cool vacation vibe that you can't just find anywhere. The place was super clean, roomy enough for all of us to spread out, and had everything we needed to make our stay a breeze. Plus, our host Mariela Jaen was top-notch – super friendly and always there when we needed something. Absolutely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a chill place to kick back with family and friends. All the best parts of a resort are there if you want them, and if you want your own space, it's there too. It’s a solid 10/10 in our books!

This Carao Villa was beyond our expectations! Weve stayed at Carao before in a condo and at Reserva Conchal in general in the past at a condo in Bougainvillea. We decided we like the Carao community best because of its location within Reserva. Our Carao condo wasnt available, so we went looking for an alternative for our annual Costa Rica trip with friends. We are so glad we found this option - as one of our friends said, we now have a new standard for our vacations!The villa has 3 common areas - 2 upstairs where you enter from the car port and one downstairs. We took turns inviting each other to talk or watch TV (there are 5 TVs) in the different areas available to us. The furniture is very comfortable and main floor is an open plan with nice sight lines both within the house and to the view outside to the golf course. The kitchen is fully equipped for a gourmet chef (who has 2 sinks?!) with loads of counter space for prep. The washer and dryer are always a nice touch.The bedrooms are spacious and have very comfortable beds. Each room has its own en-suite full bathroom, plus a half bath upstairs and one downstairs. One of the bedrooms downstairs is a bit small, but still has plenty of space in it, a closet, desk, and its own door out to the pool area. Did I mention the villa has its own pool?Of course, the pool isnt heated, but the sun does a nice job all on its own. The furniture outside is also comfortable and the gas grill was nice to use one night of our trip. And our friendly neighborhood iguanas had some very nice meals of the yellow flowers on the trees, followed by sunning themselves for hours on end.We couldnt believe just how much space this place has - we didnt even make use of the room upstairs. The room upstairs doesnt have a door on it, so while it can be used for a bedroom, its not very private. And the heat seems to rise up there, since theres no door. Beautiful view from up there, though.We had breakfast out on the upstairs deck each morning and the beautiful blue birds came to visit, though they were not a nuisance. We had a couple of very minor maintenance issues (a door that wouldnt stay closed and a question about the A/C) - the maintenance people showed up promptly and addresses the issues, no problem.We loved this place so much that weve already booked it again for a return trip later this year! Blue Water Properties handled every part of the transaction beautifully.
