Wildwood Cottage offers 4 bedrooms and three and a half baths between the main home and the private mother-in-law suite that was recently built directly behind it. Located in the heart of Destin and all beach activities in the renowned Crystal Beach, your family is sure to have their needs met. Wildwood Cottage has an array of beautiful gardens and views that offers your family or group comfort and privacy along with your own private pool for added convenience and luxury.
The mother-in-law quarters is located behind the main house and allows you the advantage of renting two houses at once. The newly built mother-in-law suite offers a small living room, wet bar combination with full sized refrigerator, a queen sleeper sofa, and half bath with pool access on the first floor. The second floor offers a king master suite, full bath, and private balcony overlooking the pool. With only a 3-minute walk to the beach, it's within a mile of everything you'll need to make your tropical vacation perfect!

Wildwood Cottage is just a few minutes' drive from all Destin has to offer, including go-kart rentals, dolphin cruises, charter fishing, parasailing, Big Kahuna's Water Park, The Track Family Fun Center, and the Silver Sands Outlet Mall.
Crystal Beach is a terrific residential area, yet close to restaurants and activities in Destin. Convenient to restaurants such as the award-winning 790 Inn on the Gulf, or Sarah K's Gourmet, get your fro-yo on at U-Twirl Frozen Yogurt or learn how to ride the waves at All-A Board Surf School.
Several outstanding restaurants are close by, including one of the most highly regarded in Destin, 'The 790 Cafe' located at The Inn at Crystal Beach and 'Beachwalk Cafe', rated one of Destin's best by Florida Trend Magazine.
Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

The location. Just a short walk to the beach.

Would rent again. Close enough to the beach, maybe 7 min walk but then have to walk another 150 yards in the sand to the public area of the beach. Both houses were nice, front porch was nice for morning coffee or evening drinks. Pool was nice as well! Cold AC and fridge. Easy check in and out. Nice area very close to shops and grocery. We walked to shops/ice cream several times.

Loved the extra pool and beach toys. Outlets were horrible. They didn’t keep plugs engaged.

Our stay at this house overall was a good experience. Though it was marred by several events.
It started with our check in process. We were told our check in was at 4pm. We arrived at the house after a 14 hour drive from Ohio. When we arrived at the house at 4pm, the cleaning crew was still in the drive way, and appeared to have just arrived. We waited in our vehicles with melting ice, cold food, and other items which required refrigeration or freezing. We waited a short time in our vehicles before calling the office. Though the employee we spoke with was extremely apologetic, we were on hold for approximately 10-15 minutes. We were eventually allowed to enter the home and put our items in the fridge, and/or freezer to keep items from spoiling or melting. Meanwhile, the housekeeper was cleaning around us.
By approximately 4:30pm, we had our items in the house, but the cleaning crew was still working around the house. Over the phone, the management company stated they wished to "make it right", by providing a gift card, and/or gift basket to apologize for the inconvenience. We finished our stay, and never received any sort of gift card/gift basket, or any other compensation. Which I would not usually bring up. However, clearly posted on the homes refrigerator was a document stating we must check out of the home "Promptly" at 10am on the day of check out, or we would be charged an additional $200.
There is more i will send in an email to the management company.
