About this cabin rental
Rain guarantee: If there are two or more "inside-only" days in a week, we will let you shift the dates, extend (so long as no conflicting bookings), get a discount, or rebook last-minute to a different week ... we'll work with you, because we want you to enjoy your cabin rental.
This cabin has one of the best locations on Lake Ripley.
- Directly on the lake (no road between cabin and lake)
- Private (no public beach or group access nearby; private dock)
- North side (great breezes, sunsets, and road for walking)
- Large property (formerly an orchard, still with apples, pears and cherries and other mature landscaping, including oaks and native plants)
- New modern pier
- Lakefront deck
- Quiet single-family-home neighbors
The midcentury decor is updated with new appliances, central AC, remodeled bathroom with walk-in shower, new beds and bedding, and fast internet. Single-level, one step up to enter the cabin.
From the dock you can fish, swim, or launch one of our many SUP paddle boards, canoe, rowboat, or pontoon boat. An extra boat lift allows you to bring your own motorboat (for rear-engine single-hull boats). Fast boating only allowed between 11:00 am - 7:30 pm (although mostly concentrated on weekends). Other times reserved for those with a slower pace (kayaks, swimmers, fishing).
Closest city is Cambridge, a gem with a quintessential American small-town main street, pottery/arts community, good restaurants & coffee-shop & ice cream (and laundry). Madison is a short drive away. Other nearby attractions include Camrock trail system, a winery, drive-in movies, and oval racetrack.

We had a wonderful two-week stay and would happily return. The location is beautiful, with a quiet, peaceful lake that was perfect for relaxing. The cabin has a charming vintage feel that takes you back to the 1950s, and it was exactly the kind of classic lake getaway we were hoping for.One of our favorite features was the kitchen. It is exceptionally well equipped with high-end appliances and everything we needed to cook and bake. We especially loved picking fresh cherries from the trees in the yard—we baked a cherry pie and even made homemade cherry jam!Having the pontoon boat available was another highlight. We spent hours cruising the lake, the fishing right off the pier was excellent, and every evening ended around the bonfire making s'mores and enjoying the peaceful setting.If you're looking for a classic Wisconsin lake cabin with great amenities, a well-appointed kitchen, and a relaxing atmosphere, this is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. The owners have preserved the look and feel of a 1950's - 60's era cabin. The necessary appliances (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher)

Retro lake cabin. Wonderfully stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and stylish bedding. Awesome dock. Amazing lake-love the no wake mornings. Needs deep clean- lots of spider webs. Electrical needs attention-frequently blows a fuse.
