About this house rental
“Keep Calm” is a 2400sf two-story renovated upside-down house with open plan space on the upstairs floor.
On the ground floor there are 4 bedrooms and a laundry nook. Built in early 2022, the main bedroom has a king sized bed, walk in closet and en-suite bathroom. This bedroom faces East and has additional privacy. Also on the ground floor are three additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, generous closets, 2 dressers and has an en-suite full bathroom, this could be used as a second master. From this room a set of sliders lead to an outdoor deck, which has a set of chairs that face West, and a private outdoor shower (with door) where you can enjoy a hot outdoor shower. Two more bedrooms on the ground floor each have two twin beds. All of the bedrooms have blackout shades on the windows and duvets on the beds. There is a full hall bathroom on the ground floor and a brand new LG washer and LG dryer in the laundry nook that is in the hallway that leads to the main bedroom.
Upstairs is a large open floor plan with abundant windows, two sets of sliding doors, a skylight and a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. The light and breezes from all of those windows is beautiful. On one side of the staircase is a living area with Roku TV, Sonos speakers and a seating area that accommodates 8 people. On the other side is a dining table that seats 8 including a spacious banquette. Also upstairs is a powder room with skylight and carrera marble sink stand. New light fixtures throughout the house give it a modern feel.
The kitchen, including new cabinets and countertop, was installed in early 2022. The kitchen offers all new appliances including a Wolf range, chefs quality exhaust and stainless steel refrigerator with french doors. The kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you need to make your stay comfortable including basic pantry items, an electric kettle, blender, coffee maker, french press, toaster, platters for entertaining, microwave and a lobster pot.
From the living room area, through two sets of sliders, is a large wrap around deck with a teak table that can seat 6, an outdoor sectional and a Weber grill. Here you can enjoy ocean breezes, views over the backyard and western sunsets. You may even be able to see the fireworks at Jettie's Beach on the 4th of July. The property has an oversized yard with lots of space and privacy for all to enjoy.
Other special touches that encourage you to enjoy your vacation is a basket of extra blankets by the door that you can use to ward off an evening chill, a large book selection and a selection of games.
It is a short walk or bike ride to the Sconset Beach, the Sconset playground, Sankaty Lighthouse and 'Sconset Village (.5 mile) which is a charming hub of activity with restaurants and clothing shops, provisions market, ice cream store and East facing ocean. Be sure to check out the seals on the beach, take a stroll along the Sconset Bluff Walk and take a photo near the charming homes on the iconic Front Street.
The beginning of the 7 mile Polpis Road bike path is nearby as is the Wave bus stop which conveniently takes you to Nantucket Town where you can enjoy incredible restaurants, Dreamland Movie Theater, shopping, museums, etc. While we do recommend that you have a car on island, the bike paths and the bus routes can get you almost anywhere that you want to go.
The television is a ROKU and has cable. If you want to link to your Amazon account, you can set log in and set it up.
There are SONOS speakers that you can connect to to listen to your music.
Light bulbs, a vacuum, mop, recycling bins, clear trash bags and other supplies are located in the pantry closet (located near the kitchen).
Beach chairs and beach umbrellas are available for your use. We have plenty of beach towels available. We do not offer bikes, but there are many rental companies on island.
Cleaners were at the house before you arrived and will come after you leave.
Landscapers will arrive once per week to cut the grass and keep the landscaping tidy and trash collection is twice a week. The bin receptacle is located behind the garage. Please remember that Nantucket has strict recycling requirements and separate trash cans are available in the kitchen to help you with recycling. All items that go in the trash must be bagged and tied.

Sarah and Tim are wonderful hosts. They were responsive, helpful and seemed to genuinely care that we had a good vacation. The house is delightful! It was immaculate and fully supplied. There was plenty of comfortable furniture, a great deck and nice size yard if you have small kids. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again!

We have been vacationing on Nantucket for over 20 years. I have rented all over the island and Siasconset is my favorite location and this property is in the ideal location. Located walking distance to the light house and the bluff walk. It’s a skip down to the coffee shop the beach and the finest dinning on the island (The Summer House & The Chanticleer).
The home is spotless and appointed with anything you could need. People tend to gather in the great room and what a room it is. Open post and beams in a brilliant white. A sitting area that offers spectacular sunsets with a large living room with very large screen TV, SONOS speakers and large comfy seating for all. The kitchen is spectacular with a WOLF range that is a lot to cook on. Granite counters and all the appliances, and cookware you can imagine. The eating area is spacious and filled with light due to the wrap around windows. There is so much more with the multiple decks, yard and amenities. I will leave it at this. I have never rented the same spot twice. This is the exception as we plann to stay in this property every summer going forward. Greatest hosts on the island.
