About this cabin rental

The Point is located on Deer Creek near Rocky Point Marina in Cannelton, Indiana. The property is several miles away from our other cabins located in Derby, Indiana. The rental is built on piers and overlooks Deer Creek. It has two bedrooms with queen beds. You can enjoy fishing on the covered dock or just relax sitting by a campfire. The Point does have two covered boat slips and is minutes to the Ohio River by water. The hot tub is located on a covered patio area. Hot tub is cleaned between stays and will require time to reheat.

We stayed in this cabin in mid September and enjoyed it very much. Beautiful views, good fishing, we caught enough to have a fish fry, yum! My daughter an I explored the local thrift shop and a few shops, The beds were quite comfortable, the living room seating was tight for 4 but we spent the majority of our time enjoying the outdoors. Our host answered all my questions and was readily available, we will definitely stay again!!

It was a very relaxing weekend. My only suggestions. don't leave the outside light on. We got there after dark , and the bugs were awful. 2 you need a grill brush. My wife is disabled , and loved being able to sit outside , and watch the wildlife. Thanks.

We had an amazing weekend! We are breakfast on the deck every morning looking out over the water and enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. Everything was clean and ready for us when we got there. It's peaceful and the weekend away we needed.

It was a lovely quiet anniversary weekend get away. My daughter had fun on the paddle boat and hanging about the lake. The town of Tell was super interesting to walk around and pour haus had some great food and service. The little bakery was super yummy for breakfast.

This cabin on the water is a perfect get away. The location was fantastic with a beautiful view, and if you have kayaks or stand up paddle boards you have easy water access.

We came down for a girls trip. I tried to get ahold of the owner because we lost electricity and I am on oxygen. We ended up leaving a day early. The owner never got back to me. The hot tub needs to be descaled, some of the jets don’t work. The air conditioner wouldn’t turn on to cool the place off at night. I put a fan in the window to cool it off. There is only room for two people to sit in the living room and two chairs in the kitchen.

The place was amazing! The view of the lake was beautiful and there were so many birds to see. The town was also very nice with nice people and very affordable restaurants and coffee shops in town. We plan to come again hopefully this year or next year.

We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. This is a great secluded cabin right on the water. Fishing was Amazing, Hot Tub, grilled steaks, and the views are beautiful.

We didn't receive any communcation on how to enter property. The door was just left open for us. There were nails sticking out of the deck handrail which they quickly repaired. Other portions of handrail were rotted through. And there is a serious floor issue by the bathroom were the floor drops about 2 inches. It was nice and quiet which we really liked but unless the structural issues are addressed i don't think we will go back there

We had a great time! Wouldn't recommend for a big family but it was perfect for the three of us or if you have a couple and two small children! Would definitely recommend going to Indiana caverns it was amazing and the second best part of the trip right after getting to see my kiddo fish for the first time! We will definitely be back! 👍

The covered boat dock and hot tub were wonderful. The fish weren't biting too much but the scenery sure made up for it.

Fell in love with Cannelton and Tell City IN, as there is so much history and welcoming locals. The cabin is small but has everything you need for a great stay. The Point is secluded at the end of the road and has a great deck and views! We'll be back some day!

Had an incredible stay though we had to cut it short. Brad Newton the property owner was amazing! He let us check in early. The place was nice, clean and had all we needed. Rented a pontoon from Perry Marine, and Brad let us park the pontoon at the boat dock there at the house. Great people all around.

My husband and I stayed here two nights. It was snowy and cold, but we loved it! The cabin itself is older but appears have some updates. It was clean, and had essential things we needed. We grilled, enjoyed the hot tub and fished in the 30 degree weather! We visited the nearby winery, the aircrash memorial, and the Celtic cross. It was a much needed relaxing little getaway.
