Spectacular, renovated Farm House on 10 Acres. Our 2 Story home with its open concept has been designed for your enjoyment! Situated in a relaxed country setting, expect to see deer, turkey, song birds, & the occasional family of fox. We are located 1 mile from Torch Lake & Downtown Alden. Easy access to Harbor/ launch site. Plenty of parking at the Farm House for your boat & or snowmobiles. Enjoy all the surrounding, quaint villages nearby. Enjoy Italian fare in Alden at The Blue Water Bistro. We are 15 minutes from Bellaire where you will find the renowned Shorts Brew Pub, delicious coffee and treats at Market M-88, the Bellaire Theater & much more! We are 6 minutes away from the local highlight: Torch Lake Sand Bar. At the Bridge you can enjoy a delicious dinner at The Torch Riviera. You will also find 2 well appointed Marinas for all your boating needs. The Farm House is within minutes of the Chain O Lakes, World Class Golf, Swimming, Biking/ Hiking Trails, Skiing, Small Town Library, Quaint Village Shopping, Dining & more!

Beautiful grounds with paths carved around the property to check out the land. Nice quiet area. Fire pit in back that we used.Kitchen had everything we need and a large island to work on.The beds and baths were also very nice and like everything well executed.

IWe all thought it was clean, we supplied with every thing 4 people need. We are all golfers that have business's so we thought the wood work, trim, and restoration of the old farm house was done very well. Also walking the trails out back was something most city people dont see. Very beautiful. Thanks

I felt unwelcome on check-in. The hosts were accusatory and somewhat off-putting in their communications. They were suspicious of the clearly fictitious name VRBO added from Google, I didn't even add this name as it was scraped from Google. That's fine, I emailed them late at night when I landed but I'm no scammer.
They demanded a list of names of people who will be staying and made us meet them to checkin even though the door had a code and no key is necessary. I had to plan my family reunion around meeting them and they would not accept a 2 hour window. I understand northern Michigan is different from city life but I've never had to give a list of names like I'm checking into prison.
They added unnecessary stress to my family reunion at the end of the day. I've used the other big bnb website and VRBO for years, never any issue or unwelcoming hosts before this.
The house is fine, it's a decent Northern Michigan property that met my expectations. It's not bad. They maintained the property well and the house was cozy and decorated well. I didn't spend much time there but the beds were fine.
Overall the hosts would get a 2 out of 5 stars. The property would get 5 stars for meeting my expectations.
