About this house rental
Situated across the road from Torch Lake this house offers the perfect getaway with 2 public lake/sandbar accesses conveniently located less than a 3 minute walk down the road. This vacation home is just minutes away from downtown Alden (2.3 miles) and Elk Rapids (13 miles).
This vacation home includes a full kitchen, with stove, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. Next to the kitchen is a dining area that seats up to 9 people. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer. The master bedroom, at the back of the house, includes a King sized bed and television, there is a walk-in closet and master bathroom attached. A second bedroom offers a closet and a twin-over-full wooden bunk bed. The half bath is located across from the second bedroom. From the living room, located in the front of the house, you can get glimpses of the lake through the trees across the road. Out the living room door there is a covered porch with views of Torch Lake (through the trees) and the small frog pond on the property. The upstairs offers two more bedrooms, one full bath and a kitchenette with compact fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The woods bedroom towards the back of the house has a queen size bed and a 42' smart TV. The lake view room with Torch Lake views offers a full bed and a cozy reading nook.
A charming pond with water lilies and lots of frogs (no fishing !) is located in front of the house. But perhaps the best part of the house is outback. There is a romantic fire pit and a hammock located out the backdoor. The fire pit is the perfect place for s'mores, camp songs, and ghost stories. A grill is provided for cookouts. The backyard leads right into the forest behind the house. The forest offers miles of trails to explore.

First time renting a vacation home and my experience was amazing. The weather did not cooperate with our stay but everything else did. I was very happy with all the supplies available and the fun we could have on the property despite the rain. The home suited our family of 5 adults and my 10 month old granddaughter. Looking forward to renting again.

Excellent location and very well stocked with everything needed for an exceptional stay. Loved the fire pit area! The only downsides were the two sofas in the living room which need to have cushions re-stuffed or replaced and the lack of a private access to the beautiful Torch Lake. The house was very clean.
