The property was amazing! It was in a great location and the pool and swim up bar was exactly what we wanted. The ocean was right off the patio which made it super easy to go back and forth between the room, pool, and bar. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We felt like we were staying with family.

Beautiful property on the beach

The property is gorgeous with an incredible beach. The beach bar is really fun with great music. The staff is outstanding. Ladia and the female bartender were friendly and helpful. Our room, Cobia, was a bit noisy because of the guests next door. It was also small. The other rooms were beautiful and spacious.

A lovely little hotel in the heart of Placencia!

We love Ocean Breeze. It’s clean and attractive, staffed by friendly, helpful people. The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach and close to all.

The bar can get a bit noisy, though it closes at 8. If you are looking for lots of quiet time in the afternoon and evening, you might not enjoy the hubbub.

The beach bar was amazing. Teddy was very cool and was more than welcoming. The cleaning staff was very detail oriented and always went above and beyond. Pool was clean. Beach was always freshly raked. Clean towels always available.

Gorgeous beachfront property with amazing staff in the heart of Placencia Village

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. I was on a family vacation and we all agreed that this was the most gorgeous place we've ever stayed. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Carla and Roy were wonderful! This property is situated right on the beach. It has a small pool with a lively bar, but our favorite part was the beachfront lounge chairs. I could've stayed in that chair forever, and I still think about it, now that I'm home. This hotel is also nice because it's located in Placencia Village, which means we could walk absolutely everywhere. The food in the village is incredible and we ate somewhere different for every single meal. Many people have golf carts and had to drive into town, but our hotel was already in the thick of it, which was also our favorite part. The room itself was gorgeous. It has blue marble countertops, all new appliances, a lovely, spacious bathroom, a massive family room, and private bedroom. It was more than we needed as a family of three! We cannot recommend this place enough!

I cannot think of a single critique. I suppose the only downside was seaweed in the water - which is totally out of the hotels control!

Paradise with just two minor concerns

The view was more beautiful than pictures; absolutely breathtaking. All staff warm, friendly and helpful. Excellent price for what you get. Bar and entertainment area very relaxing.

There was no chair in the room. I am 5’4” and the bed was too high to sit on comfortably, so I could never go sit down and relax in the room without getting in bed. The walk from the street (taxi)to the hotel is quite lengthy as was the walk to all amenities that are not in the hotel but bar tender was extremely helpful with ordering food. Definitely get the steps in!

A lovely vacation!

Room has exceptionally modern amenities - including Alexia controlled AC! 5K flat screen TV. Room decorated very pretty, very clean, pretty view. Nice small swim pool and cordial bar. Property security safe at night.

Have to walk between houses and hotels to reach this hotel or to get to the Main St. Room very small.

It was everything that we were hoping for and more. So warm and friendly.

Location was ideal. It is in the center of the village and walking distance to everything. It is steps to the beach, great pool/bar, chairs, umbrellas, towels, bikes, and kayaks included. It is very clean and safe. They are very willing and helpful suggesting eateries, booking tours and taxi to/from the airport. Everyone on the premise is extremely gracious.

Sargassum along the shore, but not a hotel issue, it was everywhere. You could walk to the pier, not far where the swimming was good or take a boat ride to Moho, which was beautiful!

rooms are big. everything’s you need is there. good quality linens. the bar is a local spot as well as guest. great way to get local feel. lots of chairs and shade if desired. well maintained beach. staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

small challenge is need to haul bags from car drop to hotel. perhaps hotel could arrange porters for a fee for those that need

Great access to the beach and beach bar.

Terrible airconditioning set up that constantly switches off. Feels purposefully budget on part of the owner. Given the price charged it is not acceptable. I stayed at the Mariposa in Placencia which is at a similar price point but they did not feel as “budget conscience” as the owners of Ocean Breeze. There was also no water fountain and no conditioner in the bathroom. Expected at the price point. Room cleaning was very slow and often only at 4 pm. The rooms are SMALL!!

We loved the quaintness of the property, the wonderful amenities and the fantastic, friendly staff. Helpful Carla at the front desk, the hard-working maintenance man, Ellis……and the BEST bartender and fun person, Jolly! They all made our too short of a stay in Placencia so much more enjoyable and memorable. Wouldn’t consider staying any place else while visiting this delightful area.

Amazing location and beach bar

Ocean Breeze is an incredible location right on the sidewalk close to all the restaurants, bars, dive shops. The hotel has its own bar on the beach, which makes it very unique - this was a really fun place to hang out in the afternoons and meet other guests and locals/expats. The bar closes at 7pm so it isn't noisy at night. The rooms were fantastic with AC, a kitchenette and netflix. We actually came back here a week after our first stay we enjoyed it so much.

It would be great if the bar did nachos. We used the hotel next door for some tour bookings as we struggled getting the tour we wanted booked through Ocean Breeze, they may just be more selective with tour agents

This is the cutest place in Placentia with ocean views and swim up bar. Staff was awesome and the location excellent.

There was a little construction going on that delayed our check-in by a couple of hours.

Fantastic place to stay in Placencia

Ocean Breeze was the perfect place for our 4-day stay in Placencia. The owners live there too so it felt like home, as they and the on-site manager gave us direct recommendations for restaurants, activities, spa and diving. The property is adjacent to the water so it get very special. We would definitely stay there again!
