Kitchen with stainless electric appliances, griddle, waffle iron, crock pot, gas grill on deck. Decorative fireplace, outside fire pit/patio, wooded lot. Check in 4pm and later, check out 10am. Close to Kenyon, Amish country, Honey Run Falls, Mohican State Park, Ariel Foundation Park, Kokosing bike path and so much more. This rental was excellent for a group of friends to get together for a relaxing weekend away. Lots of space and things to do. Only complaint we have is the cleanliness and organization of items in the house. There were dirty dishes in the sink and the dishwasher when we arrived and the grill needed a good cleaning. Other than that, the house was a great place to stay for a bigger group. Would definitely stay again.

This was our second visit to this lovely home. It has been the perfect location during our Family Weekend visits to Kenyon College. The house is well-appointed and the large couch in the living room is great for hanging out. The home is large with plenty of space to spread out. The home is surrounded by trees which are beautiful during the fall. We love watching the little chipmunks racing around on the deck! Rhonda is a wonderful host and extremely responsive to any questions or needs during your stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We especially appreciated the “extras” that we didn’t have to worry about bringing , like kitchen tools, gadgets, and condiments in the fridge and the “extra” pillows and blankets in all the bedrooms. The home was very clean and well taken care of and communication with the owner was very organized and timely. Also, they were flexible with our check in/out schedule . We would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!

We loved our stay! A beautiful house, comfortable lodgings. Do note that even though the listing says the house sleeps 14, there are only beds for 10 (as detailed later in the listing). The host let us know there was a queen air mattress available, but two of us just ended up sleeping on couches (which were still comfortable). The pool table and TVs were great. The kitchen has everything we needed.

We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely come back! We had expected a fifth person, but as it worked out, it was just two couples sharing the space. One used one of the upstairs bedroom and bath, the other used the other upstairs bedroom, and the downstairs bath. We did not get to use the deck or firepit, but they both look great!

Our group of ladies got together for a weekend leadership retreat. The house was perfect for our needs. It snowed that weekend, and the view was lovely. The property owner stated clearly that the driveway was on an incline and it definitely is! But there was plenty of driveway parking for our 4 vehicles and more on the street if necessary. One of the big perks of the property was the amount of goods that were available.... we forgot sugar and there was some in the cabinet. We were also thankful for spices, dishes and even a crockpot! Everything was clean, well maintained and comfortable. No detail was missed. We would definitely rent this place again!

Quick weekend for a Holiday together with family. The pictures don't do it justice. The living room is much bigger than it looks, and it looks big. Everything you need is there. We had a terrific time. Weather was terrible, but we still had a great time. 12 people and we always had plenty of room. My one suggestion would be to go to the house before you hit the grocery store. The house was so well stocked we didn't need have the stuff we brought. Definitely at the top of all the places we have rented. Almost forgot, it was spotless when we arrived.

This was the perfect spot for our little team retreat. The house was lovely, and the pictures accurately show how great it is. We had everything we needed, and things at the house were labeled and easy to find. Rhonda was easy to communicate with; she responded to our few questions quickly. My family of four (two children, ages 3 and 5) and a friends family of five (three children, ages 7, 4 and 2) stayed together for the weekend in this family cottage. It was a perfect getaway for us. The home was clean, with a spacious kitchen to prepare all of our food we brought for the weekend. The home provided plenty of linens for all of us. Each bathroom was very clean and organized with a good amount of travel toiletries should you forget something at home. I especially loved the clean, soft, & plush bath mats underfoot in each of the bathrooms. The house was equipped with plenty of games, toys and a nice pool table in the basement. The property boasts a beautiful backyard with a very nice fire pit lined with twinkle lights. The backyard was perfect for fires in the evenings roasting s'mores with our kids. There is plenty of space for all to move around and play. We used the gas grill out on the back deck for dinner one evening and we all sat on the back deck as well to eat together. There is a very nice small sectional where the adults sat and the kids sat at the table on the deck. During our stay we drove 15 minutes to the covered bridge creek where we did a short hike and then ate lunch and then the following day we went to Honey Run Falls. The falls were a quick 5 minute drive from the house, our kids played in the creek there and got to see a beautiful waterfall. We also ordered pizza from Dirkos which was delicious. The host was very responsive to all of my questions and very helpful with information on the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this home for a getaway whether for just the weekend or an entire week for your family.

Adorable cottage on a scenic wooded lot with the lake in view. The decor was so welcoming with a beach cottage feel. We had a great time and the hostess was very helpful and responsive to our needs.
