Taj Theog Resort & Spa Shimla

Excellent location with a panoramic view of the mountain range from the room. The sunrise and sunset views were breathtakingly beautiful! The breakfast on the deck is amazing- just soaking in the views and weather!

The cleanliness of the carpets from the lift to the room left a lot to be desired. Also,the food is very overpriced and since the hotel is an isolated property,one has to have dinner at the hotel itself

Good front office & service team, buffet spread for all meals is nice.

Should have hi tea in the room package with some entertainment, gets dull otherwise.

I loved everything from the personal jacuzzi time to the pool to the activities like the assisted trek and archery. Raman was great - he led us through the trek and walked us around the property to spot the different mountain ranges ☺️

The room size was too small. The dinner at the Indian restaurant had a lot of wastage. Rest everything was great.

The views from the balcony and the room and the comfort of the bed and mattress. The Xmas eve celebration was nice - wine and chocolates.

The food both at dinner and breakfast was a buffet. Although there was a spread, somehow we did not find the food tasty. I could not say that there was ONE dish that I really liked. There was a delay in getting the breads at dinner time. The access when coming to the hotel is complicated and we did get lost. Its also not easy - the road is narrow and uphill..not enough signages telling you where to go. I also took the Hatu trek but later realised that the trek is only like a short walk, since we take the car till the Hatu temple, and then walk into the nearby forests. Paying Rs 3500 for a walk in the forest seemed an overkill. Its best to explain to guests what lies in store for them.
