Very disappointing stay: misleading listing, poor hygiene, and absolutely not worth the money.

Honestly, there was nothing I liked. The only positive aspect was the location, but it does not compensate for the rest of the experience.

The room was NOT the one shown in the listing. It was completely different and very disappointing. The place was extremely dirty, including the room and common areas. The house didn’t even have a proper living room. When I needed to use the cutlery, it was in such bad condition that it made me feel very uncomfortable and disgusted. We were only given one towel, which is unacceptable. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take photos of the accommodation itself due to a technical problem with my device at that moment, but I do have photos that I sent to a family member showing the poor conditions. Overall, it was a very bad experience and a waste of money.

The worst place I’ve been

The bed was comfortable that’s it

Extremely dirty, with cockroaches all over the place, all the kitchen utensils where damage the bathroom was never clean and smelled like urine and cigarettes. Other guests had the same problem. The Room was next to a main street in where downstairs the garbage trucks collects the trash at 8pm, 1am, 6 am , 4 pm so you will never sleep or rest because you can hear everything. The person in charge was a very rude and disrespectful guy. Don’t recommend try other thing really is for your own good

Spend a few extra € and stay somewhere a bit nicer.

The check in process is unnecessarily complicated and long, long because it took three attempts before it would work. After a long day travelling this is not what anyone wants to be doing standing in the street at 2am which leads me to another problem with the check in process - scanning your passport/ID on the street. Malaga is probably one of the hottest places in Spain so the fact that there is no air conditioning in the room is just stupid and uncomfortable. Open a window? Forget it, the place is right on the probably the busiest street in the entirety of Spain. The rubbish collection trucks come round at 1am, then again at 1:30 and again at 2am to empty all the various rubbish bins that are right outside. Cockroaches in the bathroom and 1 in the bedroom. I squashed it with the Apple TV. This location has a shared bathroom. I messaged the owner to say there was no toilet paper, he said he was “on to it”. We returned to our room and there was still no toilet paper. I messaged him again and he said he had forgot. Spend a few extra € and stay somewhere a bit nicer.

Not good for sleep!!

The size of the room was good.

We read the reviews and thought, "how noisy can it be"? Oh, it's noisy!! Especially when the bin trucks come around at 2:40am every morning! The curtains don't filter out the light from the busy street either, so, if like me, you need a dark room to sleep in, this definitely isn't the accommodation for you. The flat is small with 3 other bookable rooms (the single bedroom is tiny), a small kitchen, and a shared bathroom. You will definitely get to know your flat mates! Again, it's one of those Krypton Factor check-in situations, so make sure you have plenty of charge on your phone with Internet access and WhatsApp. We weren't sent the check-in form in advance of arrival, so were stood scanning our passports in the street outside! Not ideal.

Good location, the city centre is in walkable distance

The windows are too thin and do not protect from outside noise The street is loud even at night The fan is old and noisy so you can’t relax in the room because of constant noise The host forgot about me and I needed to wait to check in. Then I needed to help other new tenants to find their room and keys because host didn’t help them either.

Pleasant

The property has good location, is its close to the city centre. The problem is that its on busy street and Windows are very thin, so its not possible to sleep in the night. Thank you for late check out at 13:00.

The check in was quiet long But possible to manage. But i think this room should not be on the Booking.com till the Windows will be fixed.

Good cost-benefit

Perfect location; it was close to everything. Our room was a nice size, with a table, fan, couch, TV, and couch. There is a kitchen available. Communication was via WhatsApp, so we didn't meet anyone in person, just the other guests.

It wasn't clear when we booked that this was a shared apartment in a common building, but the check-in system worked well. There are four bedrooms available, and we share all the facilities with the other people staying. All doors have locks. The windows are very thin, and you couldn't close them completely; therefore, it was noisy.

I cannot recommend.

It was close to restaurants and stores.

It was close to a busy, noisy street. The large sliding windows had large gaps that didn't keep out much noise. The curtains didn't keep out much light. The room was packed with long-stay furniture that made the space around the bed tight and sitting at the table in the room uncomfortable. The kitchen was small and tight for all four guest rooms who had access to it. There was no oven. The check in was a multi-setup process with many details.

Disappointing

Good location

Not a place to stay as a woman alone. The owner doesn’t live here and at the time I was there there were only men in the other rooms. Didn’t feel safe so booked a hostel with reception.

Reasonable price, great for a short stay

Great location and it was about a 15 minute walk to Malaga Centre. There is plenty of paid parking around the area either on street or in multi storey car parks. The apartment had 4 bedrooms and a bathroom and kitchen/diner. The deluxe room was very spacious but a bit noisy as no shutters on the window, the other room was smaller but fine for what we wanted and a little quieter as it had a shutter. We were there for only one night so did not use the kitchen, the apartment was a little dated but this was reflected in the price. We had to call the property when we arrived and 15 minutes later we were met by a very nice gentleman.

It wasn't clear when we booked that this was a shared apartment, so we had two rooms out of the four available, so if the others are booked then you share all the facilities with the other people staying. All doors have locks.

Our room was big and we had a huge window. We didn't use it but there is a kitchen and washing machine available. Check in was fine but I would've preferred to do it in advance as we came with a car and there was no parking space. Communication was via WhatsApp so we didn't meet anyone in person.

Overall nice expensive.

I liked the check in system. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom was nice. The kitchen is small but has the things you need. And also I liked the shower.

One concern was with the closet, it had a very unpleasant smell inside. The other thing was the fan, it didn't work, although because of this time of the year it wasn't a mayor issue for me.

Promised much yet given little

The location is great.

The cleanness was poor. Also no Satellite channels as advertised. The I asked how to use the washing machine and the dryer since it was in Spanish and I don't understand it the owner said he has to use them so I could use later. Then the next day he did't reply to my WhatsApp call to help. Later when I was already checked out he replied that his mobile phone did't work so he couldn't reply. Another guest told me the owner had denied her to use the washing machine. Not a trusted place!

Big room in heart downtown

A lovely big spacious room with a comfortable bed, plus a table & chairs in front of a big window overlooking the street. It's always great to have access to kitchen facilities. Alot of street noise but we were prepared for that from previous comments.

It was an electronic check in which worked fine (2nd time for us now). But unfortunately, we arrived in Malaga early & were not able to leave our packs before check in. It was really nice to have a second pillow but the covering needed washing badly, I suggest it's changed with each lot of guests or change to using regular pillow cases.

Read the fine print. Poor value for what you get.

Poor instructions to get access to the building and room. 4 rooms sharing one bathroom is inadequate. Lights in bathroom were intermittent and at times did not work at all.. Very little privacy. Should be advertised as a dormancy for young people. No air conditioning in 35 degrees is very difficult to live with.

there was a giant cockroach in the elevator, the host could barely speak English and he called me a day early to tell me that I need to check out even though I was supposed to leave the day after. he was kinda rude about it. and the whole apartment wasn’t the cleanest.
