Come stay with us.. relax and enjoy "The Beauty of the Berkshires". This beautiful renovated Georgian Colonial home sits on 40 acres of lush wooded property. The main home can sleep up to 14 people and the separate guest house sleeps an additional 4 people comfortably. Both houses enjoy the view of the beautiful expansive pond.. You can fish, swim, take a pedal boat ride or just enjoy the calmness of the pond. Sunny Pond and its surrounding property is a wonderful place to gather with family and friends. Although a large home it feels cozy and warm. For larger groups there are many large rooms for people to spend time together or you can cozy up to a fire with a book from our library. Lovely views and settings from all rooms. this property can be enjoyed all year. Close to 3 major ski mountains and sledding right outside the front door makes the property a snowy wonderland during the winter months. In the summer dive from our swimming dock into the pond where you can enjoy hours of fun with all the water toys to make for a great day. If you do not enjoy swimming in fresh water pond feel free to take our pedal boat out for a ride.
On the first floor the home has many wonderful rooms to enjoy.
The kitchen is where most gather and is very large and perfect for a big group to prepare meals. Appointed with 2.5 ovens/microwave/6 burner stove/ large refrigerator and freezer along with all you could possibly need to entertain and enjoy cooking in this spacious kitchen. All dishes/silverware/ pots/pans/ and the list goes on are all included to make your stay easy and relaxing. The great room off the kitchen has a wonderful fireplace to relax yet still be part of the fun In the kitchen. Our open dining room with a fireplace can hold many at the main table. We provide add on tables and chairs for large groups. The library with a fireplace is cozy warm room to enjoy the fire/ TV a good book or enjoy your company. The Livingroom is a great place to all hang out watch TV and relax. If you are working and need an office we have a private office with a computer and all you need to conduct your business.
All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor and are split into two areas.
One side of the house has three bedrooms each with a queen bed. There is a full bathroom on that side of the house and a second bathroom right down the stairs on the first floor. (if children want to sleep with parents most rooms can hold a mattress on the floor
The other side of the house includes the master with an in-suite bath, one guestroom with a queen bed, the children’s room with a queen bottom bed and a twin on top. There is a pullout trundle in that room as well. The smaller room has a day bed which pulls to two twin beds. There are two bathrooms on that side of the house. The third floor landing has a ping pong table and extra mattresses in case you need extra sleeping room.
Our finished basement includes a childrens playroom with a separate TV watching area, fully appointed gym with small refrigerator for cold towels and water and a Laundry room that includes a Washer/dryer an iron and a bathroom.
The front deck in the summer has couches and lounge chairs to entertain and enjoy the outdoors and take in the beauty of the pond and the setting. The back porch has a big table to enjoy meals outside. The play area with a jungle gym set is enclosed for the children to safely play.
Have a large group and need more space? We have the answer. Our separate guesthouse apartment includes a bedroom with a king bed, One small room with twin beds, a sleeping alcove off the living room with a day bed to sleep 2 and One bathroom. The small full kitchen is perfect to make meals and the living room dining area are off the kitchen for an open feel to the apartment. This apartment is used for overflow for groups renting the main house and will not be rented to other parties while main house is rented. This house is not for rent on its own. We also have a Tesla charging station in the garage of the main house.
Catamount ski area 10 minutes away Butternut 25 minutes away and Jiminny Peak 40 minutes away. We are close to Great Barrington (10 miles) and Chatham (8) miles. Movies, Bowling, museums, Tanglewood, are a stones throw away and we are 13 miles from the Hudson Train Station.
