Les anciennes écuries du château des Touches à Savonnières, construites en 1869, ont été transformées par AXA en salles de formation pour leurs agents puis délaissées pendant plus de 10 ans. En 2017, le bâtiment a été acquis par deux personnes tombées amoureuses des lieux. Après 2 ans de travaux, le rez-de-chaussée a retrouvé sa fonction antérieure, le pavillon central est redevenu la résidence des maîtres des lieux et les étages des deux pavillons latéraux ont été rénovés pour devenir deux gîtes pouvant accueillir 4 personnes très confortablement. La décoration est très hétéroclite mais l'ensemble dégage une grande douceur et beaucoup d'harmonie. Les anciennes écuries, avec leur assemblage de briques et de tuffeau, leur couverture en ardoise, et leurs menuiserries extérieures en bois peint , invitent à la méditation et au repos. L'environnement est magnifique, le parc compte plusieurs arbres dont l'âge est compris entre 100 et 150 ans, avec des essences variées... En dehors du bâtiment des écuries, dans l' enceinte du domaine des Touches, nous avons le pavillon du gardien,, l'orangerie et le château. Celui-ci a été rénové et divisé en 14 appartements. L'ensemble de la co-propriété représente une superficie d'environ 25 hectares avec bois et étang... La situation est idéale pour découvrir tout l'ouest de Tours : Villandry, Azay-le-Rideau, Langeais, Chinon, Bourgueil... A découvrir : le musée Maurice DUFRESNE à Azay-le-Rideau... Une semaine ne suffit pas à découvrir les merveilles situées à proximité du gîte. La situation, l'environnement, la beauté du site, tout invite à un nouveau séjour dans ce gîte... A recommander pour les amoureux de la nature, du calme, de la beauté, etc. Au revoir.
