Escape to Brookside, a charming chalet hideaway nestled on the shores of Seneca Lake. Named for the babbling brook nearby, this inviting retreat offers a peaceful lakeside experience perfect for families, couples, or friends seeking relaxation and adventure along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail.
A long, winding gravel drive leads you to the lower-level parking area, where you can step into the spacious family recreation room. This area is designed for fun and entertaining, featuring a full-size bar, pool table, comfortable seating, and a TV for movie nights or catching the big game. A queen bed and a half bath are also located on this level, with incredible lake views just steps from the six-person hot tub on the patio, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day on the water.
An interior staircase brings you up to the stunning great room, which serves as the heart of the home. Relax on the oversized sectional while enjoying the lake views or gather around the dining table, which seats six, for a home-cooked meal from the open country kitchen. Two first-floor bedrooms, each with two single beds, are ideal for kids or can be pushed together to create a king-size bed. The master bedroom, located in the loft, features a queen bed, with an additional single in the hallway. Guests can even fall asleep to the gentle sound of the brook when it's flowing. For extra flexibility, a blow-up air mattress in the laundry room can be used to create additional sleeping space.
Brookside boasts over 150 feet of natural, level lakefront with a variety of activities for all ages. Children will delight in the expansive pebble beach, perfect for collecting shells or skipping stones. Guests with boats can safely store them in the hoist when not in use, while the large permanent dock offers a spot for sunbathing, fishing, or launching non-motorized watercraft to explore the lake and its abundant birdlife.

We had an AMAZING time at the Brookside for a girls’ weekend! We had 6 women in the house and had more than enough space! As a matter of fact, we all discussed coming back WITH the kids (aged 9-18)!! They would have had a blast! Between the hot tub, the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boat, pool table, we always had something to look forward to do! The property is very easily found by following the GPS. The driveway is STEEP. Like STEEP STEEP. Definitely have at bare minimum an AWD vehicle with decent ground clearance. This house is one of the cleanest homes I’ve stayed in! Bathrooms and kitchen were sparkling. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of couch space in the living room area and kitchen. Kitchen nicely equipped with everything you could need. Just an FYI, there is a drip coffee maker, not a keurig. There is also a water cooler (with lots of spare water jugs in laundry room) so there is no need to buy/bottled water. Bring your reusable jugs. All lights/ remotes/ appliances were in great working condition. The basement area has a great speaker/sound system and is where we hung out the most. There’s a mini fridge and a bar with plenty of seating down there. The four recliners around the electric fireplace at night was the perfect ending to a long day. There is plenty of seating on the upper deck to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Plenty of seats at the outdoor bar/grill/patio table/picnic table to eat and enjoy the breathtaking views!

We wanted a location where we could relax on a lake, cook our own meals, and have minimal crowds. This house fulfilled all of our requirements.
