About this house rental
Exclusive 3 BR vacation home in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country located on the breathtaking western shore of Seneca lake, minutes from Watkins Glen. This relaxing home is on a 4 acre wooded oasis, w/ private lake access & a new dock. Enjoy the large wrap around deck with soaring lake views. Perfect setting for your family & friends.
Enjoy a peaceful walk to the lake which is downhill on a private gravel road (1/10 mi). Perfect setting for fishing, swimming, kayaking or sipping wine with a good book!
Parking avail near lake in a 4 X 4 vehicle only. Ample parking close to the house!

The space
The Buttonwood is a gorgeous 1300 sq ft. modern home that offers a relaxing memorable view of Seneca Lake. Step up three stairs from a large parking area to a covered porch and vast wrap around deck which is enclosed on all sides. The first floor has a great room and kitchen providing floor to ceiling windows offering an unobstructed view of the Lake. The deck is perfect for dining after a day on the lake, fishing or wine tasting.
The first floor queen bedroom has access to a full bath with standup shower (hand rail). Stairs lead to the basement which is a ground level walkout and provides foosball & ping pong - perfect for after dinner fun. Laundry also available on this level. Walk outside to a 2nd area for relaxing in the hammock. Enjoy the Firepit & lawn games.
The 2nd floor provides 2 bedroom’s. BR #2 Wake up to great views of the lake semi-private (king bed). Bedroom #3 is semi-private with a queen bed. 1/2 bath available on this level as well.

Other things to note:
The owner provides all linens, fully equipped kitchen and includes dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, cookware and grill. Dish soap, paper towels, tissues also provided.
*fire-pit/ cooler/fishing poles/boogie boards/lawn chairs/ adirondak chairs available for your convenience
For your protection, there are security cameras, monitoring the road, parking area, and exterior of the house only.
Central monitoring for fire, smoke and carbon monoxide.
We will have a guest guide in the home with things to do and see while visiting the area. Additional check-in and checkout information such as wifi password etc. are listed in the home to make your stay comfortable & easy!
Full season home has a furnace, generator and central air.
Wi-fi is included (Spectrum!)
Parking for 4 - 6 cars at the house (only one 4X4 vehicle parked in designated spot down by the lake at any time)
House Rules:
Reservation by adults age 23 or older
No Pets
No fireworks
No smoking in the house
No parties (family gatherings encouraged!)
Completion of this reservation implies waiver of all liability and acceptance of house rules listed within.
Additional rules:
Please do not over tax septic by flushing excessive paper or foreign objects etc.
Please place items back after using them
Close umbrellas when leaving or if windy
Extinguish fire in fire pit & do not leave unattended
Please report any damage immediately - (accidents happen) but we would like to address these immediately.
Check Out:
Gather used towels & sheets and place in labeled bins near laundry.
Run dish machine
Place trash & recyclables in bags provided-then place in designated outside cans to the left of driveway
Turn all lights, fans, cooking appliances off

Meg & Glenn were great hosts and their property was beautiful! They were quick to fix the door lock when the batteries died, so quick that we didn’t even realize it was a problem until it was being fixed! It was in a great spot to visit all the wineries and Watkins Glen, and the view from the porch was beautiful! It is quite a steep walk to the dock and we had to step in the water a bit since the water level was high, so keep that in mind, but was fine for everybody in our group. We enjoyed our time relaxing on the dock and floating in the water. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The hosts made everything welcoming and easy for us, there was nothing missing! My 3 year old and 8 year old were comfortable and happy, and it felt very safe for them. We gathered a few family and friends to celebrate my husbands birthday and it was just perfect. A very wonderful stay.

Upon arrival, check-in was a breeze. The house was perfectly stocked to make it feel like your own vacation home - beach towels, life jackets, chairs, kitchen amenities, etc.
The house was perfectly sized for our adult family of 6, and incredibly comfortable. Although it did appear as though they were equipped for younger families as well.
We were able to spend many nights cooking together and having dinner at the spacious table. But what we really could not get over was THE VIEW! It was absolutely stunning from the home and from the private dock.
The location was perfect for getting to and from wineries, into Geneva and Watkins Glen, and a local coffee stand.
Overall, we would highly recommend this property and would love to stay there again.
