Appears stairs remodel was not completed and some funky temporary covering that was not secured was put in place. Dangerous walking down stairs. The unit is good otherwise. Kitchen well stocked. View is fabulous. You must like the sound of pounding surf is right there-you get used to it. Plenty of fans so really no issue with no A/C. Floors needed a much better cleaning. Great pool and BBQ setting.

This is a great place to stay!! You can’t beat the views, property was clean, and close to anything you need. The extra beach gear was awesome to have, and the kitchen is well equipped. We cooked in 4 of the nights we stayed here. We would definitely stay here again!

Family very much enjoyed our stay. Some of the permanent residents at Sea Village were not that friendly. I couldn't imagine living in paradise and taking it for granted. The pool area does have some extremely ridiculous rules.... i.e. no marco polo?..... this would definitely be a great stay for an older couple. No laundry to be used between 9pm-8am which is difficult as we were out exploring the island most of the days. Quite time / pool closes at 9pm and kids were scolded prior to that for playing "loudly" at the pool. All in all we enjoyed our stay. Our family personally wouldn't stay here again. Kona Coast Vacations however were extremely helpful with everything we needed!

The condo had everything we needed and then some. The location was close enough to walk to grab a bite to eat or do a little shopping. Having a lanai off the living room and primary bedroom overlooking the ocean was wonderful, and a great way to fall asleep and wake up! The last afternoon of our trip we saw some whales while sitting on the lanai downstairs and quickly went upstairs so we could get a better view and it was amazing - we were able to watch multiple whales for hours! The grills and seating areas are right next to the condo as well as the pool and we utilized all of it. No having air conditioning was not an issue for us. The other convenient feature was the washer and dryer, this was the second half of our trip and knowing that the unit had a washer/dryer helped us to not overpack. We would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely condo, as advertised in the photos. Not having A/C was a concern at first, but the deck faces NW and has a drop down screen so it was shaded almost the entire day and it stayed cool. We lived on the deck - ate all of our meals there, played cards in the evening, and enjoyed the breeze and the view, including sunsets and dolphins. Beds were comfortable and property owners very responsive when we had a few small issues (broken fan, light bulbs out.)

As with most older properties, the exterior of the building is showing some wear and age, but is kept up very well. The grounds are nicely landscaped and maintained. This condo was clean and very well equipped. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed to get us started for our week of vacation. Plenty of beach gear and towels as well. Being an end unit, there were plenty of windows to open to take advantage of island breezes, and with the shades lowered in the mid-afternoon, the unit keep quite cool with just breezes and fan. It also felt quite private and quiet despite proximity to the pool and all those windows. Geographic location also quite nice, given convenience to downtown Kona and oceanfront placement. The layout is a little funky with a few tighter than ideal spaces, but overall worked well for our needs. The furniture is showing its age, but was reasonably comfortable. The beds were a little on the firm side, without being super supportive, and the upstairs master bedroom floor creaks a bit. These are all really minor concerns, and are definitely the worst things I can say about this property. All in all, it is an excellent place with absolutely killer views all around and a wonderful place to spend a week. Additionally, the concierge and the property management were both extremely easy to work with, and were very accommodating. Two thumbs way up for this one. Will rebook here!

The unit is spacious, has great view of the ocean and has all the gears you need for the beach, amenities on site are good (pool, BBQ) and location is great. Communication with the staff is great and they responded quickly to maintenance request. My only complaint is that the master bathroom needs some work, it’s dated and the shower curtain is too short so that water spill all over, we ended up all using the other bathroom for shower.

Aside from seeing an erupting volcano, this condo was our kids' favorite part of the Big Island. The views from the two lanais were gorgeous, and as beautiful as they look in the photos. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was supplied with all the dishes, pots, and pans you could need, and the larger property is lushly landscaped with a very nice pool. There is no a/c, but there are ample fans in all of the rooms. With fans on and windows open (there are screens), we were quite comfortable sleeping. Listening to the surf at night was so soothing. Communication was very good. When the unit was ready early, they called us while we were still collecting our bags at the airport to let us know that we could check in early, if we wished. It was a lovely stay, and we would book it again and recommend it to our friends.

The property was even better than the pictures show! The lanai on both floors overlooking the ocean was amazing. Most of our time was spent looking at the ocean and we even spotted whales one morning. It was just my husband and I but there was a second bedroom big enough for two more people or children if you have a family. The unit is immaculately clean and well cared for as is the entire property. Communications with Kona Coast was always prompt and informative. We would definitely recommend our friends and family stay there and especially 1101!

The sound of the waves crashing just below the balcony and the magnificent ocean view made this the perfect place to get away and decompress.

Waking up to the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks would never get old. We could see fish swimming from our lanai and even spotted some dolphins playing in the water. The giant windows allow for you to do dishes or cook while watching people parasail, boats go by, and in the right season I bet you could even see whales. Their was everything we could want for cooking, even with a party of 6 adults. Also found snorkeling gear, body boards, and pool noodles in the closet. Was an amazing stay and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay within walking distance to downtown but still far enough that you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of a city.

You stay here for the unbeatable views, location, and space. As a family of 4, it was important for us to have separate bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen to cook, and washer/dryer. The layout of the condo is perfect. This corner unit view can’t be beat. You see ocean views everywhere downstairs, and the master bedroom and upstairs bathrooms. It feels like you’re practically in the water (probably actually about 24 feet away). The location is great, being close to Kona but in a quiet spot. The rules are strictly enforced for pool hours and quiet time, so you’ll get your peace and quiet. Keep in mind this place does not have a/c and it can get miserably hot even with all the fans and wearing next to nothing and windows open, and there are some bugs here and there. I knew to expect both situations from the description on the condo and reviews but definitely consider those things and if that will be tolerable for you. The first night was rough with the heat but then I think we acclimated and it was tolerable. You will see ant traps they’ve set out with lots of ants in them, kill a bug here and there, and once I had to kill about 10 bugs on my kid’s bathroom ceiling before their bath and we did see 1 cockroach. It was ok for us as we heard it’s part of island life and I’m not sensitive to bugs and the ocean views made up for it but good to know going into this booking. I will probably look for a place with a/c (I’ve stayed in hotels with them on most of the islands, so I know they exist) next time, but we still enjoyed our stay. Have fun in Hawaii!

Condo has everything you could need with a flawless view! Sunsets every night! I will definitely stay here again if in the area. Just passed the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona so it’s quieter. Only thing you will hear is the waves.

The views were incredible! The condo was well maintained. We had a wonderful time! My two sisters in law saw dolphins one morning at the window. Called property manager about a broken fan and they sent a replacement the next day! My one suggestion is that because there’s no ac that back room gets pretty warm, I think it’s important to have 4 working fans in the unit. Loved the place and our time in Hawaii! Would come back to this place in a heartbeat! Aloha!

The location is great and the view from the lanais is even better than the advertised photos. I would definitely stay again, but there is one thing I would recommend future visitors pay attention to. The unit website says no air conditioning, and that is true. There are ceiling fans, and at least 5 portable fans in the unit that can be moved around depending on where you may want them. We weren't in the unit much during the heat of the day, and the bedrooms have ceiling fans, so sleeping was comfortable. I may well return, and if I do, I may consider going to Walmart to buy a portable air conditioner unit and just leave it there when I leave.

Sea Village 1101 is a wonderful treasure. Beautiful Sunsets, lots of action on the water from dolphins , parasailing, surfing and the list goes on. The unit is equipped with everything you could need.. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

The pictures do t do this property justice! The views were incredible! The waves crashing put us to sleep every night. We enjoyed sunsets on the patio and playing cards with our kids at night. The pool was refreshing, although the hot tub was closed. We had everything we needed from kitchen to beach supplies. The highlight of the trip was golf for my husband and son and scuba diving for me and my daughter. This island is very relaxing but has all that you need. We BBQd a couple nights, had great dinners at Lava Java and Dons on the Beach. It’s a long drive to Hilo but worth it to see the lush gardens and waterfalls. All in all this was a perfect vacation spot and our family really enjoyed it.

We loved our stay. The condos and grounds were beautiful and clean. The ocean views were to die for. My only complaint was that the dishwasher did not work. We ran it twice and the dishes looked same as they did going in (we rinsed them all). I called and was told someone would come that day. Nobody showed up and I had to do dishes for 6 people during my vacation.

The view was the only thing we appreciated about this place, but there are so many places with a good view in Kona, please look elsewhere. This place was not as pictured online. Some of the furniture wasn’t the same. It was not clean. It had not been cared for or maintained, from scratches all over the walls that a simple paint job could have fixed, to safety issues with the sliding door locks being busted. There was a whole in the ceiling of the master bedroom. The toilet in the master did not flush. The pool was closed, even though the advertisement did not disclose that fact. There was drywall in the bed that had fallen from the ceiling. Celery the owners could not have cared less about their guests, and are only interested in their own financial gain. It was a real mess. Even though Kona coast vacation rentals helped me by finding a suitable replacement rental the next day, it was still absolutely a wreck on our trip to have to pack up our family and move after staying only one night in a place. It took precious vacation/family time away from us, and that isn’t right. I could go on and on, but I won’t. The place has great potential, but you don’t really want a fixer upper when you’re paying for a vacation rental.
