Tucked away in the tranquil seclusion of Fort Morgan, Barefoot is a stunning beachfront home that features a host of lavish amenities for guests to enjoy. The home features unobstructed views of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to relax and enjoy them. The home's crown jewel is a private, heated pool built into the deck, allowing families to enjoy a relaxing swim year-round. The home's private beach boardwalk and outdoor shower provide guests with easy access to and from the beach. The outdoor living spaces also include covered parking for up to 4 cars and a provided charcoal grill.
Inside, the bright and calming ocean-themed interior of this home is punctuated with unbelievably luxuriant extras. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen features granite countertops, double ovens and dishwashers, and a pantry with plentiful space. The laundry room with a washer, dryer, extra full-sized refrigerator, and ice maker is located off the kitchen. The kitchen, dining and living areas encompass one wide open space with unbeatable views from the wall-to-wall windows! The main floor also features extra sleeping accommodations with a twin-sized sleeping nook in the dining area.
Also on the main floor are two master suites. Bedroom 1 features gulf views, a king-sized bed, a twin sleeping nook, and a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed and a handicap-accessible bathroom with a walk-in shower. The main floor also features a half bath and access to the elevator.
An elevator allows for easy access to all floors!

The second floor features a second comfortable living space with a queen-sized pull-out sofa bed and also a second laundry room.

Guests can play golf at the Peninsula or at Kiva Dunes. There is an accessible boat launch and marina at the Gulf Shores Marina at Fort Morgan. Last but not least, there is a historical Civil War Site to explore at the Fort Morgan Historic Site. There is something for everyone in Fort Morgan!

This was the most amazing house. We took the whole family and they had a blast being right on the beach. House was beautiful and had all the extras . We will rent again!

Overall the property was very nice with several great features like the extra refrigerator, ice maker, 2nd dishwasher, elevator, 2nd set of washer/dryer, large dining area and living space. A few small maintenance items needed attention- rotting wood on deck chairs, arms loose or falling off dining chairs, refrigerator handle was loose and mis informed about grill using charcoal. We brought charcoal and discovered it was a gas grill that didn’t have a propane tank - we had to purchase a tank which we left

Overall our stay was really good, however the property needs some work...
Pros:
-Location
-beach
-large private pool
-Large space for multiple families
Cons:
-Not well maintained. Lots of damaged walls, dingy furniture and finishes.
-Mold (?) in master bathroom
-Kitchen not fully equipped. Broken mixer, no cookie sheets, oven was not cleaned and would smoke when we used it.
-Upon arrival there was sand in a few of the beds, so some of my guests were worried the sheets weren't washed. Maybe its just what happens when you're on the beach, but we haven't had that issue with other rentals on beaches.
-Ants in the kitchen
While maybe this isn't a huge deal, for the amount of money we spent, and comparing it to past rentals, its disappointing. I know Harris is a large company and its probably hard to maintain them all. hopefully after reading this, they will address these issues for future guests.
