Luxury BKM in Playa del Duque

Good location

Black dust everywhere, kept sweeping up. No bath plug. One shower faulty. Pool not cleaned. No hand rail on steep steps down to property gate.

The air conditioning didn’t work properly There were no plastic glasses around the pool There weren’t enough sunbeds for us all

The villa is ideal for children with gates on every stairway and an excellent screen around the pool. We had 2 x two year old and a baby and there was plenty of room. There is a good sized master bedroom on the top floor with an ensuite shower and a twin bed room, which is on a separate aircon unit and gets very hot. The top floor jacuzzi and outside seating is accessed through the main bedroom. On the middle floor is a double room with ensuite and a twin room which has a bathroom down the corridor, All the above rooms could do with a desk, back of door hooks and luggage rack as there is no where to put anything down. The open plan lounge leading to the pool is here too. The basement floor is a bedroom with a sitting area, a bathroom opposite and a games room with a snooker table and table tennis. There is a laundry room here too with access to the garage. The management company are pretty responsive about sorting any small issues.

The electric turned itself off on 5-6 occasions, which switched off the wifi. As wifi is needed to access the property, we were unable to all go out together confidently until the managers gave the key code to the spare physical key. We were unable to get out of the garage access on departure with our prams even before 10 am as the wifi had been turned off. However, we fortunately found there is a button on the control panel on the ceiling that will open the garage door from the inside.

Top location. Nice master bedroom (if not everybody would have to pass through it to get to the terrace / jacuzzi).

Purely maintained and equipped. Not luxury, not even premium. Tools, toiletries, towels all of the cheapast available and minimal quantities and a lot of things worn out / damaged / broken - and that for 6k/week. Pool heating failed, jacuzzi not filled and dirty, kitchen cabinet falling off. Even for 8 people better live in the Gran Tacande or Tivoli, if you don’t want to spend all the way up to the Bahia del Duque.
