HOTEL GREAT MORNING

A new and well renovated hotel with very comfortable bed. Can walk to train station. There a Avis Budget Rent A Car nearby 4 mins easy walk so you can pick up your car if you want to go out of city

My family (4adults 1 child) stayed here for 2 nights - I was impressed by the hospitality and hotel’s sustainability ethos. They have some of the nicest hotel items (coffee, tea, comfy pajamas, the fluffiest bedroom slippers, and gift store). The room was huge for Fukuoka City standards and we’re happy to walk slightly further to the main areas just for the bigger and quieter space.

Hotel room size: (Deluxe Twin and Luxury Suite), the Deluxe Twin is slightly larger than the average room in Japan. The Luxury Suite (60 sq meters) is very large in size, however it is not wheelchair accessible due to door width. (remark: if one wants to go to the washroom from the entrance, he/she should open the door to living room, and then close it and open another door to the washing basins/sauna room/bathroom/washroom) Hotel room facilities: basically none (no coined laundry/gym/public bath). On the first night, when we were in the bedroom, the TV in the living room suddenly turned on twice, that we decided to disconnect the TV directly. If shower for the disabled, the Deluxe Twin is not ideal - no space for shower chair and no dry-wet separation). For the laundry services, I would say it’s quite expensive (~1800 yen for a big of maybe 2/3 clothes). Other amenities are of natural ingredients, so some customers could be satisfied with it. For temperature control during winter, it can be flexible with cooler or heater. As the hotel is located in a slightly remote area, so it is quite at night. Bedding: as the products are natural, some may find the mattress is a bit hard. Staff: Friendly in general with greeting, but not very good in English. Housekeeping: Clean in general, but occassionally omitted replenishment of bottled water or amenities. Location: situated in the middle between Hakata station and Tenji area, for the adjacent streets in Nakasu, it is quite seedy (red district and you can see some unconscious people who get drunk), and would not be ideal for female traveller/family with child. Price: moderate - Luxury Suite (*** for 4 nights excluding hotel tax); Deluxe Twin (*** for 4 nights). We were charged with hotel taxes of 4 people (albeit only with 3 people). Lastly, for the room cancellation policy, I think it is too stringent. Initially my family (3 people) would be travelling with relatives (3 people), so we booked 1 luxury suite and 2 deluxe twin room. My relatives received notification of flight cancellation 3 weeks prior to hotel check-in (in which we have provided proof without alternative flight options). As such, I made a request for free cancellation of 1 deluxe twin room. After a few days of liaison between concierge staff and their manager (in which the staff informed me to wait for 2 days, but eventually I had to chase for their feedback), our request was not accepted. The Agoda customer service also felt sorry for this. And I recognized that the room was also booked after my cancellation. After all, considering the above, I would not stay in this hotel. I would highly recommend *** (outperforming in all aspects).
