About this house rental
The neighborhood
Gingy Lane is a quiet, private street off North Liberty Street approximately midway between Cliff Road and West Chester Street. Town is a short 10-minute walk, with access to all of Nantucket's wonderful shops, restaurants and activities. Steps Beach is a quick 10 minute walk across Cliff Road, and Jetties Beach is an easy 15 minute walk.
Gingy Lane is a great location for people who like to bike, with the Cliff Road bike path right nearby. Nantucket's network of other bike paths are easily accessible as well.
Gingy Lane ends in a cul-de-sac and is great for children.
OUR HOUSE
The house was custom built to our specifications. It has 5 bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom and very large closets. The house is approximately 5,500 square feet across 3 floors. It is beautifully furnished and fully equipped throughout with great attention to detail.
The main floor has a beautiful open floor plan that is comfortable for large families and entertaining. It is light and breezy with windows and French doors around the entire perimeter, which open onto a wraparound porch.
The living room and sitting/game area are wonderful for lounging and watching TV. The huge, gourmet kitchen has a very large island that seats 4 people. The kitchen continues around the corner with a bar, pantry and second cleanup area with a sink and second dishwasher. The open dining area seats 10 people.
The main floor also includes a bright office and powder room. The side entrance to the house leads directly into a very large mudroom and separate laundry room and is the perfect place to leave the day at the beach behind before enjoying an evening at home.
The second floor is airy and bright with soaring ceilings. The gracious master suite has a 4 poster bed, a relaxing sitting area, and a 60-inch flat panel TV. A walk in closet leads to a beautiful white marble bathroom with his and hers vanities and separate soaking tub. A second guest bedroom serves as a second master suite, with an elegant upholstered king bed and beautiful bathroom with a relaxing beachy feel. A third bedroom includes 2 queen beds and a wonderful marble bathroom. There is another laundry room on the second level.
The lower level is very light and bright. It contains a family room with a 60-inch flat screen TV and a wet bar. An enormous bedroom with twin beds also includes a play area for children. An ensuite bathroom is finished in marble and has a double vanity. The final bedroom suite includes a queen bed and a beautiful marble and granite bathroom.
The outdoors is an extension of the house. There is an outside eating area, outdoor furniture to relax in, and a large yard for playing. A large outdoor shower is near the side entrance to the house.
The house has wifi and is wired to enjoy music and media throughout the house.
Our home is strictly non-smoking, no pets allowed.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The open floor plan on the first floor was perfect for our family. Bedrooms are all big and spacious.
We walked to town everyday and grabbed lunch at Something Natural a quick 5 minute walk from the house.

Our whole family ( adult children and their little ones) agreed this was the perfect house for us. The property itself was even more spacious than it appeared in the photos! Convenient to both town and beaches, there wasn’t a thing that was missing from this property; the most well equipped home we have ever rented. Thank you Jane!

Our family really enjoyed our stay in Nantucket. The home was lovey and well appointed- exactly as billed! The location is perfect as we had a 6 month old and were able to walk back and forth to town easily without having to use the car. We also spent a lot of time in the lovely yard enjoying being together
