The barn overlooks a courtyard and small garden at the back of the owner’s farmhouse with sitting-out areas exclusivley for you.. There is a 3 acre paddock for walking pets and your self! Patchole is set in the heart of the North Devon countryside on the edge of Exmoor and is well suited for exploring this area. At Croyde and Woolacombe, some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country can be found, as well as many smaller coves and bays. Barnstaple, the regional town, offers a range of shops. Golf nearby. Shop 2miles in Combe Martin, pub The Pyne Arms is 2 miles.

Lovely barn conversion with every comfort. Quiet location in beautiful countryside. Plenty of walks and pubs around with good food. Made very welcome by owners. Would recommend.

Beautiful barn, incredible hosts and 20 to 25 minutes from everywhere worth seeing in North Devon. A quiet retreat and securely dog proof garden. Thank you so much for acwobderful holiday. We will be back.

My overall impression of the property was favourable. However, the main reason I would not return to this place is that there is a toilet IN THE BEDROOM with no dividing door for privacy or hygiene. There are many steps within the property including of course, the stairs to go to the second bedroom. The aforementioned steps make it difficult for some people to move around the cottage easily. The upstairs bedroom has extremely low beams, which means you have to crouch very low to get into or out of bed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen area was clean and was well stocked with utensils. We were given more mugs when we asked for them, which were definitely needed.
