It is set in an AONB in the Dedham Vale where the artist John Constable painted many of his famous scenes. Set in the owner’s grounds, with its own private area of garden, it is the ideal choice for a romantic break and is in an excellent area for walking and cycling. The nearby Roman town of Colchester has an excellent range of shops, as well as a zoo and castle. The peaceful Stour Estuary, Maningtree, and Mistley are a 6-minute drive, whilst London is less than an hour away by train. An excellent location to explore all the delights of both Essex and Suffolk. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

The Glass room is peaceful, spacious and so beautifully furnished, I don't think we have ever slept in such a comfortable bed, including our own! The location was perfect for us, visiting Flatford Mill, the Beth Chatto gardens and a little further afield, RHS Hyde Hall. It also gave us easy access to visit family in Ipswich. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay.
