There are three great bedrooms, each with their own amazing bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Nice quality bath & beach towels. The kitchen has everything needed to make even gourmet meals. There is no restaurant that offers such oceanfront dining. The back deck is oceanfront. Beachfront for great long walks in both directions.So many great amenities. Shopping:Princeville The local wine shop to load up on cocktail supplies and wine for the stay.Hanalei, Farmers market for local fruits, vegetables, bakery items (amazing banana bread), local jewelry and more. Dolphin Fish Market, for the most fabulous fresh fish and sushi. Havens Kauai Coffee. Just up the road. We went to get our fresh Hawaiian coffee early every morning to bring back to the house’s oceanfront deck to watch some of the most beautiful sunrises we have ever seen anywhere. Steve was so easy to communicate with and always responded quickly. It was so easy to get to the NaPali coast hike, Kalalau Trail. Close enough to Hanalei to go out to eat or go shopping to boutiques & galleries. This Haena beachfront has all the amenities needed to experience what it might be like to live in Hawaii. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for our 10th anniversary celebration. Wow, we so enjoyed the house. The view was incredible. It felt rather luxurious having our own private courtyard (with parking) and private access to the beach. After much driving around, I think the house is in one of the most beautiful locations on the island (Haena/Hanalei).

If you are looking for a dream vacation, this is the place. Wonderful house, plenty of room for 6 adults. Clean, fully equipped kitchen. We made a number of meals here. Snorkeling off the beach was fabulous. There is a horseshoe shaped reef to the left of the property that is teaming with beautiful fish. The neighbors were very friendly. Steve, the host, is awesome!! He is quick to reply and very responsive. We visited 4 islands and this was our favorite, in part, because of the house.

Perfect vacation spot for the 5 of us with plenty of space and large bathrooms. Easy drive to Hanalei. Steps to the beach. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.. couldn't ask for anything more! And the host was always very prompt in getting back to us whenever we had a question. Mahalo!

Absolutely Perfect Beachfront GetawayThis VRBO home was everything we hoped for and more! The description was spot-on—what you see is truly what you get. Waking up to the sound of waves just outside the lanai was pure magic. The view from the lanai over the beach is unforgettable and became our favorite spot for morning coffee and sunset cocktails. The house was clean, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. Best of all, we were just a short walk from some of the best snorkeling on the island—crystal-clear water, vibrant reef life, and sea turtles galore! This place is a dream for anyone looking to truly unwind and soak in the beauty of the island. We can’t wait to come back!

Beach house had a great snorkeling location on the beach. Suitable beach chairs and equipment to use. A faucet outside to rinse sand off before going inside. The house had what we needed. There isn’t AC but the wind comes in strong through the windows all the same. Lots of room in the house. Had issues with ants in one bed. Not much hot water from the showers. Short distance from Tunnels Beach. Walked next door to Haena State Park shuttle. Food at next door restaurant was yummy.

Location, location, location. We love the sound of surf, snorkeling and hanging out on the beach and this house gave us everything we wanted. The house was well equipped, the ocean breeze kept the house very comfortable, and Steve was fabulous. When we return to Kauai we will book again. It was perfect.

I'd be remiss if I didn't begin by acknowledging the communication and responsiveness of our host/owner. Over the course of nine months, Steve was immediate in his reply to any questions we had concerning the property and our stay. Whether it was related to transportation, massages or tips on snorkeling, the information was immediate and accurate.Upon arrival, we were having some difficulty with our TV. I called Steve first thing and he said he'd have a new 75" smart TV delivered that same day. Not only did he make good on that promise, but he also delivered a brand new refrigerator. The washer and dryer were top notch and brand new. Maintaining a beach property is an impossible task against Mother Nature and the salt air, but Steve's focus on maintaining appliances that typically need replaced regularly is to be commended.The location in terms of its proximity to water and a swimmable beach is unbeatable. You are fifty feet from both. All common areas enjoy this proximity; the views are spectacular from inside. The north shore is by far and away the most beautiful and verdant location in which to stay. A helicopter ride easily confirms this.The kitchen is equipped with anything you would want for meal preparation, making dining in an easy experience with the best views imaginable.A great experience all around!Thank you

The house does not look like the pics, it's hard to see through the windows, the roof leaks water into the house when it rains. Everything is very dated and feels dirty, the ceiling fans appear to have mold on them. The beach is very nice, but we would not return to this house. He offered us a discounted stay next time if we agreed to write a 5 star review and he charged us an extra cleaning fee since we said we would not.

A great place to stay on the North Shore of Kauai overlooking never ending rolling waves with a beautiful view from a spacious deck. A night sky filled by the Milky Way with stars connected together by the reflected lights of others. A big house with total privacy in a quiet neighborhood

We loved staying in this home! The beach and deck were a great place to watch the waves, the whales and even a Monk Seal. The Ocean sounds were a perfect background to a great stay. The beach was a great place for our kids to play in the sand. We also loved star gazing at night!I bet in the summer the snorkeling is amazing but the currents were too strong to do much in Feb.The home does have a few quirks and hiccups- but nothing that affected our wonderful stay! The property manager was helpful with questions and was very prompt with getting us informationI would absolutely stay here again- It was so nice to be away from the busier parts of the island.

The location of the property cannot be beat! Was very peaceful and obviously gorgeous..will definitely be staying here on our next trip! Home had everything we needed and beds were extremely comfortable! We had a monk seal visit us directly in front of the house, and 3 sea turtles swimming around in front as well! We had the best time staying here for 7 nights. The house is right on the ocean and the beauty is what you dream of when you think of Hawaii. Everything lived up to what Steve posted on VRBO. My favorite was the master bedroom and with the windows open with the breeze and waves you felt like you were sleeping on the beach.

Wow! This house was a dream come true! It was perfect for our family. The layout of the bedrooms offered privacy and the view of the ocean was just amazing. Each morning we were greeted by the colorful sunrise. We enjoyed walking the beach in front of the house and made our way to Tunnels beach for a swim and view of the sunset. We even saw the Hawaiian Monk seal with her pup on the beach. I was worried about not having air conditioning, but the trade winds cooled things off and provided a breeze throughout the house! Looking forward to our next family reunion at one of Steve's homes. He was a great communicator and made sure we had everything we needed:) Mahalo!!

Just steps from the beach. Nothing beats drinking coffee on the balcony overlooking the ocean or hearing the waves crash onto the shore. The house was the perfect size for my family of four. We enjoyed being so close to all the best beaches on the island. If you are looking for a house far from people and crowds, this is the house for you. Hanalei and all its restaurants and stores are just a ten minute drive. We will definitely be back!

Wonderfully relaxing home to unwind with three generations- from 15 months to 60 YO. Fabulous home with ocean views, easy access and cooling tradewinds. We loved the quiet -easy-going vibe of the N Shore vs our time in Poipu. Both are great but this home and location is just about perfect. We really didn’t want for anything here and the owner, Steve, was fantastic to work with on logistics and when a few questions arose. You’re within 15 min of shopping, beaches, restaurants and more, all within easy reach of this little slice of heaven.

We had horrible flight delays, but Steve was great to work with and made sure the lights were on when we finally arrived at 3am. We awoke the next morning to paradise; the view from the master bedroom feels like you died and went to heaven. Our 3 grown children couldn't believe how close the beach/water was and how amazing the views are. We rented snorkels from Hanalei Surf Co, which seemed better price/condition than bigger names in Kapaa (previous trips). We loved the water just out front of the rental and down at Tunnels. We did a tour with Napali Catamaran that was amazing with much more time along the coast than Tours out of Port Alan. There were a couple reviews talking about noise from the neighbors, but all we ever heard was the waves and trade winds. We did stop by the cute little coffee shop next door and had a good dinner at Opakapaka. We enjoyed all the fresh fruit from local farmers markets and cooked fresh fish from blue dolphin several nights. There was a small but good selection of leftover spices and condiments, and most of the kitchen tools you’d need for making breakfast, lunch and dinners. We appreciated having sharp knives as many VRBOs don’t provide good cutlery. Steve provided a large array of cleaning and household products - 1st VRBO we didn’t need to buy TP, paper towels, trashbags or dish soap. Beds were all comfortable and bath towels were amazing. Lots of beach chairs and towels to use. Can’t wait to come back to this amazing place!!!!

I functionally stay in high end resorts for a living so I've seen a bit. The house was amazing, right on the sand, the teens snorkeled functional right in front of the house and saw turtles etc. The overall location is simply magical, it doesn't get any better. The owner Steve was fantastic on communication, helped easily with a few pre trip things. We will definitely be returning !!

The location of this house can't be beat- stunning views of the ocean. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sound of the waves. The quiet beach is two steps away. We were a group of "active seniors". The house is so close to Ha'ena State Park and Limahuli Garden. The town of Hanalei is just a short drive away, with plenty of restaurants, shopping and Hanalei pier. Princeville is also close by with beautiful golfing. We had made dinner plans for all of our night, but ended up staying in and cooking several nights. We just didn't want to leave! Communication with Steve, the owner, was so easy. He was very attentive to all of our questions and requests. We will be back!

My sister and I brought my parents to this lovely home for their 65th anniversary. We had a great time! My dad had a little trouble with the steep stairs to the front door but otherwise the house is great. The kitchen is well stocked, and the beds and furniture comfy. We brought the patio cushions inside so they could dry out.

This was the best vacation spot we have ever had! We went there with our adult children. There was plenty of room for the six of us. Sometimes we have trouble finding a house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. This house had all that and was just beautiful! And nothing was lacking. It was perfectly located on the beach. Beautiful sunrises, whales, and sea monks. I cannot recommend this place more highly. One reservation we had before booking it was that we saw that there was a restaurant next door and we were concerned about the noise. Once we arrived, we never even knew it was there. The residents of the island are respectful of quiet times. We didn’t want to leave when it was time to come home!

We rented this beachfront (literally) home from Steve for a family vacation. None had been to Kauai previously. We loved tge location and accommodations! Conveniently located close to Hanalei as well as Princeville. The house has excellent views from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom of the beach and north shore ocean. The deck was great and is exactly as shown online. We saw several whales spouts and i captured a whale breaching on my iphone. My spouse saw a dozen-ish sea turtles in the water. We swam in the ocean right outside the house and felt like we had a semiprivate beach. Two adult sons rented snorkel gear in Hanalei for $6 and had a good time near the reef offshore and saw several fish. It was convenient to hike the Kalalau Trail (we took the Haena Beach shuttle from a park and ride location at Waipā (not far from house ~15 min drive). We also enjoyed hiking the Waimea Canyon Trail, but be advised its about a 2hour drive from the house to the trail on the south end of the island. Very enjoyable stay!

My family and I really loved our stay in this house. The views out the back windows and patio are unreal and the sound of the crashing waves make for the best night’s sleep. This house had every possible thing we needed for our family of five to enjoy the week. We used the kitchen to cook some easy meals. We had plenty of towels and blankets. The master bed was very comfortable. We used the beach chairs every day. The host was very kind and helpful. The snorkeling right outside the door was the best snorkeling we did on the island. The beach feels very private and secluded. We went down to Poipu Beach one day and didn’t know what to do with ourselves with such a packed beach. We will never forget the memories we made this trip!

Excellent location if you want privacy and immediate access to the beach. The house is located among other upscale homes right along a perfect stretch of ocean. Tons of excellent snorkeling spots where you’ll find turtles and a huge variety of reef fish. The house itself was perfect for our family. Everything is well maintained and very clean. The Colony resort next door has a great restaurant with a talented chef. I recommend their deserts! In all this was a perfect vacation. Thank you Steve and Vrbo!

We had an amazing stay in Hanalei! Love the north shore and you cannot beat this location, this beach, and these VIEWS! Steve was incredibly responsive and a wonderful host. We had discussed there being a pack and play there prior to our stay and we couldn’t find one upon arrival. We contacted Steve about where to possibly buy one ourselves and he had his manager drop one off in less than an hour and told us to enjoy our vacation! Great stay!
