About this house rental
Sabbatical has a prime Seaside location directly across from the beach at West Ruskin Pavilion and one block to downtown Seaside with over 35 shops and restaurants just steps from your front door. Arrive at a private driveway and park in front, and you are greeted by two expansive open-air porches that run the length of the home, both up and down. The first-floor open-air porch has a cushioned bench swing and additional Adirondack seating for two more, a perfect morning coffee spot while you listen to the waves crash from your front porch.
Step inside the elegant and classically inspired arched doorways and vaulted ceilings, Sabbatical will simply delight! Meander inside where you are welcomed by the downstairs formal living room with ample seating for many throughout, a large flat-screen Apple TV, and a queen sleeper sofa. On the first floor, you will find two queen bedrooms, each with its own private ensuite bathroom. The first queen bedroom has a corner-mounted private flat-screen TV and a renovated private bathroom with a single vanity and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower. The second queen bedroom down features a private flat screen mounted TV and a private recently renovated bathroom with a single vanity and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower.
Head upstairs to the open combined main living areas and kitchen, as well as the third king primary suite retreat. The kitchen has been updated and features all stainless steel appliances throughout, a double oven and induction stove top, black sleek countertops, and breakfast bar seating for four. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area for six that has access to the expansive open-air second-level porch that features gulf views from your balcony. The large open-air porch has two lounge seating areas and has amazing views of the West Ruskin Pavilion and the Gulf. This is the perfect evening spot to watch the sunset and enjoy an evening cocktail from your front porch.
The oversized king primary suite, also on the second floor, is absolutely scrumptious! There is a large open sitting area off the king bed with a queen sleeper sofa and two large club chairs. There is a large flat screen TV and two closets on either side of the TV. Perfect for working remotely is a desk overlooking 30A with town views. In the bedroom is a large soaker tub with a combination shower as well, and a private adjacent bathroom and vanity area.
Other bonuses include a fenced yard, additional Adirondack seating area for two off the front porch, a full washer and dryer in the laundry area on the rear porch, and an outdoor shower on the side of the home.

Sabbatical offered the most perfect, relaxed setting for our family and friends during spring break. The location cannot be any more perfect with quick walks to both the private beach access and all the offerings of town center. We drove our car only once during our stay just to visit Rosemary, so it was wonderful having everything we needed within walking or biking distance. Sitting on the second floor porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening wine with the beautiful view of the water. West Ruskin was a very quiet street during our stay, and we enjoyed daily morning walks all through Seaside before the crowds arrived. Homeowner's Collection offers top notch customer service, greeting us upon arrival and quick to answer any questions before or during our stay. The only disappointment was the size of the primary bathroom. It's very small for the size of the room, and we opted to use the downstairs showers. We look forward to returning again!

This rental is beautiful! You can see the gulf from the balcony while enjoying morning coffee from Amanda. The rooms seem magical and the master upstairs is like a private hotel room. Highly recommend! Only downside is the outside shower - hard to access without a clean path.

This was a beautiful home and the location was amazing to restaurants and shops. The house was equipped with everything you would need. The communication from Homeowners Collection was remarkable. I would definitely rent this home again

Overall this is a lovely house in a fantastic location. The property management company is wonderful, I have stayed with them before. If you are couples or a family with older kids it’s great. If you have kids under 5 this is NOT at all safe. Objectively, this house should not say friendly for children. There are so many stairs in very odd locations and no way to prevent kids (brought our own baby gate!). The worst part is the railing looking over the stairs in the kitchen has so many holes for a child to crawl through. I am a physician and if I knew of someplace where I could report this to prevent tragedy for a family, I would. This house is hazardous for young children and should not be rentable to families with toddlers. I asked to move houses once I realized but was unable. The master room has a giant claw foot tub In the middle. That’s in the photos and obviously we knew this. However the photos do not show the actual master bathroom which is the smallest bathroom I think I have ever seen and does not have a shower. The downstairs bedrooms have showers. Additionally, if you go over spring break you are right on the main road. You will be kept up. It is probably not a problem if it’s not peak time.
