About this apartment rental
Views of the Gulf from the master bedroom, the living area and large balcony as well as Caribbean-style decor with dark hardwoods make this 1,450 square foot, two-bedroom, two-bath third-floor condominium a renter's favorite. Fully appointed and fully upgraded kitchen with SS appliances includes microwave, dishwasher and laundry area with full-size washer and dryer. Other features include 10-foot ceilings with a generous vaulted ceiling in the living and dining room, ceiling fans, central heating and air conditioning, and a large master bath with a whirlpool tub, separate glass enclosed shower, double vanity and lots of closet space. Showers in both the Master and Guest bathroom have been fully renovated with modern multi-function fixtures and seating.
Many personal touches make this unit feel like home. Extras provided for guest use include beach towels, chairs and toys as well as movies and CDs. The overall decor is warm with a casually sophisticated "West Indies" motif including old-fashioned dark wood slat blinds, crown molding in all rooms and a down-wrapped sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a heavy-duty blender and Keurig and a standard coffee brewer as well as a couch nearby. The balcony area features a high-top table for four and a lounge chair with cushions.

We enjoyed the stay very much. Everything was clean and comfort. The beach and pool was great, the kids love it. The only complains was that they did not give us enough cleaning supplies for family of 5 with 3 night stay (Toilet paper, bath soap, dish cleaning solution, washer liquid). Good thing we brought some of our own. The other thing was beach chair rental. It would be nice if you can make the beach chair part of the rental option. We did not know until we got down to the beach that they were all taken by somebody who came few days before us.

This was our 2nd time staying in 305E, our 5th time total at the Martinique. Our first stay at 305E was great, cleanliness was great. This time we were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness. It's pet free, but there was cat hair all over the furniture and I am allergic to cats. We also found numerous small broken plastic pieces in the living room and dining room, and we have 3 small children. I would also recommend upgrading the toilets to be larger. Overall we love the Martinique and intend to come back next year but try a house instead.

I'm going to be honest here. 305 East has always been our favorite unit and we have stayed there many times but I have some feedback that I hope will be seriously considered. It is time to replace the mattress in the master bedroom. We have thought this for years, but it is simply past time now. It is also time to replace the broken curtain ring in the living room. It is the first thing I noticed when we entered the unit. I asked my husband to see if he could fix it. He was only able to rig it so that it at least looked as though it was on the rod. The floors were in terrible need of mopping. I left them cleaner that they were when we checked in. I took dampened paper towels and cleaned several of the high traffic tiles to that the bottoms of our feet would not be black. It is also time to do a deep cleaning of the basedboards. Having said all of this, my onlu hope is that these improvements will be made. Martinique on the Gulf is our favorite vacation spot but for the price, the expectations of cleanliness and regular maintenance cannot be oversated.
