Excellent stay- highly recommend!

The owner was very welcoming and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was perfect. Large room with an amazing shower. Breakfast was varied and satisfying! Plus an enclosed garage for our car was a plus. We felt very safe and well cared for.

Great hotel, with lovely staff, great food and in an ideal location.

Lovely room, very modern with all the extras: lovely shower, tv, fridge, large bed etc. lovely staff, couldn’t do more to help and be nice. The restaurant downstairs was lovely, great food and very reasonable prices. The location was ideal too between the beach and old town. Just travelled around Italy and that was our favourite stay!

Perfect Stay – Great Location & Wonderful Host!

Amazing stay! The apartment was high quality and super comfortable. The owner was incredibly polite and welcoming. It’s just a 15–20 minute walk to the beach and only 5–10 minutes to the city center. There’s also a private parking garage, which was super convenient. We had amazing coffee and delicious food nearby. Honestly - what’s not to like?

Perfect family hotel and restaurant in Albenga Italy. I wish we had more like those.

This little hotel & Restaurant in Albenga is what you call a family hotel and a jem. And for many reasons: not only the Rooms are spacious, new, clean and very well equipped - also because the owners. Today when many villas, apartments or even small hotels have a person-free check-in and check-out this one was a breeze. The owner called me 3 weeks before arrival, to make sure the rooms booked for our needs. He was responding in minutes when we notified him we are about late to the hotel check-in and restaurant, - assuring they are waiting for us. And when we arrived the owner was waiting for us, taking our car to a parking spot, showing us the rooms and the facility, and preparing us a large table in his - excellent BTW - restaurant, where his son preparing the pizza. Everything was pleasing: the food was great, the staff working in the restaurant, he personal attention and the rooms. I also recommend Albenga. The city old town was a surprise with its renovated maze of streets, lovely shops and medieval towers. Definitely worth a visit.

A pearl of Liguria

The whole staff works as a family and you can feel, that it is a pleasure for them to welcome you and they make you a part of the family. The room was perfect, everything new, very comfortable, clean and stylish. You have a great balcony to relax with a bootle of vine. The breakfast with Italian pastry, cheese and ham, focaccias, etc was perfect. You should not search for the restaurants in the town - you have the best one downstairs - it is called Ricaroka and people of Albenga are coming to visit it every day, all the tables are always reserved. We are here 3 times, very delicious, simply great. Besides you are in a great place in the town - 4 minutes to the station, 3 minutes to the old town of beautiful Albenga, 10 minutes to the beach (all walking). Our children visited many hotels, my wife and I much more (over 300), but this sincere hospitality and love to the guests make Ricaroka the best one, we’ve ever visited. We spent there only 5 nights, it’s the shame, that the vacation lasts only two weeks and we wanted to visit one more place. I would definitely, without any compromises recommend Ricaroka to everybody. We would like to come once more. Carlo, grazie mille a te. Era un grande piacere conoscerti. Cordiali saluti a tutti. This establishment stands out not only for its magnificent facilities and comfort but especially for its exceptional staff, who truly made the stay unforgettable. One person that particularly impressed me was Antonio. From the moment I checked in, Antonio displayed a charismatic and friendly demeanour that made me feel genuinely welcome. His helpfulness knew no bounds; he was always ready to assist and had extensive knowledge about the hotel facilities and the surrounding area, providing invaluable advice and recommendations. I wholeheartedly recommend Ricaroka to anyone looking for an accommodation that truly prioritizes customer satisfaction and provides an exceptional stay. My experience was an absolute delight, all thanks to the wonderful staff and notably, Antonio. I eagerly look forward to my next stay at the Ricaroka hotel.

Wonderful experience! Antonio is an amazing host and took care of us from beginning to the end. It’s perhaps the most personalized and welcoming hotel experience I have ever had. Beautiful, clean rooms and a very friendly staff. Breakfast made to your request, no buffet here. We had lovely caffè, croissants, and I can really recommend scrambled eggs with a side of focaccia. We only stayed one night but will come back for both the restaurant and the hotel. Absolutely recommend!!

My wife and I stayed at the Ricaroka in Albenga, because the town looked like an interesting place about halfway to our final destination. The town and the Ricaroka did nor disappoint ! Comfortable accommodations, good service, convenience... couldn't ask for anything more. I can heartily recommend the Ricaroka!

The best Italian welcome!

We arrived at Ricaroka after a hard day of driving in stormy weather from France into Italy. We were wet, tired and stressed but all of this was wiped away within minutes by the warm welcome we received from Antonio and his team who helped us parking our awkward trailer and whisked us in to their fantastic restaurant where we were served the best pizza and great wine! Our waiter Marco could not have been more helpful, speaking fluent English and suggesting food and drinks for all. Once we'd eaten our fill, our gracious host and his family showed us to our room. I had accidentally booked online for only two adults although we were also travelling with our children...not a problem for Antonio who smiled and took us to a quadruple room which was sparkling clean with a brand new bathroom. We slept soundly in a king size bed with the kids in their singles beside us. The room was quiet and air conditioned. The place was spotless and comfortable. In the morning we could not believe how copious the lovely breakfast was, again served by the always smiling and cheerful Antonio. Unfortunately we had only planned a one night stop here but we will certainly return on account of this welcome. We have been travelling for a month now and Antonio and his team stand out with their service and the standard of the accommodation and food. We didn't get to use the wellness facilities which look great or see much of the lovely little towns so that'll be for next time. The price of both our meal and the accommodation was extremely good value and Antonio refused our offer to pay extra for our kids and all his help. This is hosting done right. We'll be back! Grazie!

To sum it up i did not want to leave, i havent left Italy yet and im already planning my next stay, would recommend 100%

Upon arrival we were greeted at the door immediatley, rather than simply handing over a key they accompanied us to our rooms personally to show us how to use the lift, the facilities within the room and before leaving asked if there was anything else they could do for us, immediatley i felt comfortable. The rooms were immaculate, amazing bedding and pillows, jacuzzi bath, balcony and complimentary teas and coffees.

As a party goer and being a night owl i would prefer a slightly later check out, but i appreciate rooms must be cleaned.

10 an absolute 10

What can I say about this hotel…Not enough! Giuseppe is the owner of the hotel, and he will 100% treat you like family. From the moment we walked through the door we were treated like family. We were given 2 glasses of white wine as a welcome gift within 3 minutes of our arrival. Then we were told to relax and enjoy the moment before he escorted us to our room and this was at 2230. There is an incredibly good reason this little boutique hotel consistently gets 10s on its reviews. The room looked like it had never been slept in, I am a clean freak, and our room was spotless, and I mean spotless. I even did a finger sweep test in off places and there was no dust. It was inspection-ready without a doubt. The floors were automatically heated at night to make using the restroom at night wonderful. The shower was to die for with 5 different settings as well as mood lighting to really set the mood. The breakfast was unreal, he just keeps feeding us without asking us and was happy to do so. We were so impressed by Giuseppe I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him, his service, or his hotel. There was a small hiccup and he invited us.... no, insisted that we have coffee with him again after just having coffee with him for 30 min. We loved it and hated to leave his company and continue on with our vacation This entire hotel has been redone to cater to people who are used to the finer things. You will not be disappointed! Thank you for such a wonderful time.

The only thing you can say is and this is not a gripe or a dislike. You need to go through the restaurant to get to the hotel it or reception from the front. the actual reception is in an ally way....not scary at all, just not easily seen from the street.
