The apartment is good overall. It has a bed, a bathroom, basic cooking facilities, and a small balcony. The location is very good. If you prefer staying outside Old Town, Nyali is an excellent choice. It's in an area with nearby services and close to the beach. From the doorstep, you can easily catch all kinds of transport into the city. It's a good option and quite affordable considering the prices in Mombasa in general, and Nyali in particular.

The owner has more than one rental unit. The facilities are somewhat old and could use a bit more maintenance. We experienced a few issues during our stay, but the owner was always attentive and willing to help resolve them.

The location was changed last minute due to landlord not finding keys from the other tenant who was supposed to leave. The room we were given was clean enough and had the amenities we needed.

Nothing much. It is located in a very old building but the room itself was alright.

The host was friendly and responsive The balcony was private, nobody overlooking Having a Café/restaurant at the door step even though half of the menu is never available The housekeeper trying her best to clean the room to standard.

The layout of the bathroom is terrible because the shower is too close to the toilet. So you keep bumping on the toilet while showering. The hot water temperature is only adjustable.with the water pressure, it was usually burning hot. Drinking water container was empty on arrival. The Room was not ready as it was very dirty and Loads of stuff waa broken when I arrived and it took a while before everything got repaired Balcony door was still broken while I was told it has been repaired before I arrived. It wasn't true Toilet drain and water tab disgusting. Kitchen cabinet full of junk Ceiling Fan full of dust. Bed Cushion moulded Trowel were stained with rust. I wish I could download all the pictures here but it's limited to 4 Noise: Other neighbours door in the corridor get slammed all the time, can't have a restful nap or night if you are a light sleeper. Sometimes neighbours will talk or argue in the corridor and because the room door is not soundproofing, you will hear everything.
