We had a very enjoyable 29-night stay in this bright and airy three-bedroom, two-bath apartment and would gladly stay here again. The apartment is well furnished, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The beds were excellent, and the two small balconies off the living room and master bedroom were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze. With windows and doors open, the airflow was fantastic, which we did during the day, and only running the air in the late evening when we had to close up due to mosquitos, and in our bedroom at night. The internet worked great so we kept up on work easily. The location is great—close to Mombasa Beach and walkable to Nyali Beach. Bamburi Beach was also an easy tuk-tuk or taxi ride away, with a bit more activity and beachside restaurants like Yuls for after beach time. Housekeeping was outstanding, with cleaning and fresh linens three times a week, which made a long stay especially comfortable. Ian was a gracious and very responsive host, quick to help whenever we had questions or small issues.

Not really things we didn't like, but minor things to note: water pressure was lower in the apartment compared to the first floor apartments and pool showers; and the unit is on the fourth floor (walk-up), though staff can help with luggage. Power outages do occur in Kenya, but most were brief, the longest being around 3 hours, but this did prompt us to reach out to Ian a few times. And we did pay an additional fee of around $4 per day for the electric charge for air conditioning. This didn't bother us at all since this apartment was an incredible value.

The host was very responsive and it was very easy to collect the keys. He allowed us to have a very early check-in due to the time we arrived in Mombasa. The apartment is in a good, quiet location and there's a small shop just outside the gate, as well as a pharmacy and small eatery. The space is exactly how it looks in the photos and is clean and well-maintained. There are fans in every room, which help with the heat. Wi-Fi is good enough for anyone who needs to work. The housekeeper was very pleasant and came and cleaned twice during our 5-night stay. There's a pool with a baby pool as well, so that's great if you have kids.

- The apartment is 4 floors up and there are no elevators. Keep that in mind if mobility is an issue or if you're travelling with a lot of luggage - There was a pest issue that unfortunately could not be resolved during our stay. - The water pressure, especially in the master bedroom, is quite low, so be patient with your showers.
