The place was spotless, really clean and well looked after. The view was absolutely amazing and made the stay extra special. We also really appreciated the great recommendations from the host, they made a big difference to our trip.
The breakfast provided in the fridge was
superb and such a thoughtful touch. The bathrooms were lovely, and everything was well equipped including a great outdoor BBQ area, which we really enjoyed. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.
The only reason we gave it a 9 instead of a 10 is that we specifically chose the property for the swimming pool, which unfortunately wasn’t working during our stay.
Also, the directions to the property — especially along the gravel road — could have been clearer.

Everything was great! The view was amazing. We had a lot of fun watching the cars and busses try to get past each other on the old bridge below. We spent a lot of time on the deck/terrace, just watching the town. Town was quiet, but we had a lovely port tasting at Quinta da Noval. We were surprised upon check in to find a fridge stocked with bottled water, eggs, meat, cheese, orange juice and milk. And......in the corner was a decanter of port. It was delicious and she makes it herself!

The amazing location, with both stunning views from the property and easy access, without a car, to so much to see and do.
There were only two of us but there was plenty of room for four to spread out and enjoy the special features that have been created.
We appreciated the provisions for breakfast ... and the welcome port!
It was tricky to get the kettle to work.
