The location was beautiful. It is on a hillside overlooking Pinhao and the Douro River with an easy walk into Pinhao and close to a great hike up the mountain. And the host was very accomodating.
Perhaps a better pool but I only used it once.

The location at the top of the hill with that magnificent view was worth every penny!!! It was larger than we expected, so made it very comfortable to stay indoors when it was 40 degrees! I think it was the owners of the property that we met, and they made us feel incredibly welcome, even though they spoke very little English. Would definitely go back and stay here! It was magical and we did swim in the pool too!
It's walking distance to "town" if it's not too hot, otherwise you need a car (which we had) and there was easy parking on the property.

We much enjoyed our wonderful apartment # 1. It was very comfortable, well-appointed, fully equipped, very spacious, quiet, etc.. The scenic view outside overlooking the Douro River valley was marvelous. The host's parents onsite were delightful, bringing us food treats each day, and the father even took us to the train station upon the conclusion of our visit.
Everything about the 1-bedroom apartment was outstanding. The only slight challenge for us is that we did not have a car, so we had to walk up the hill which was steep in parts. Sometimes we took taxis, but we generally prefer not relying on taxis, as we enjoy walking when possible.

Exceptional View and terrace. good location, walking distance to village center (very steep return), bed quality is good, house remained fresh despite high temp outside
Very bad acoustic insulation-we could hear the shower of neighbours, people talking outside, and of course the village annual Festas which had very loud music until 2:30am…old sliding windows do not block noise even sleeping with earplugs…very little equipment in kitchen (pots, cutlery…), old swimming pool, pump equipment is noisy. Tough Parking with gravel and pits on a steep hill, no shade.
