About this house rental
There are vacations where you run as fast as you can to visit every historic site, shop in every boutique store, eat at every restaurant you can find... You wear yourself out and down and become frazzled. In just a few days you're dying to go home where you can rest and relax.
Well, that doesn't happen at Whale Rock .... not here. You won't want to leave Whale Rock because every moment of the day is special here - like the early morning light over the ocean and beach - (Okay.... sleep late if you want to) - like soft afternoons and walks on the beach or along the river (or you can take a nap - aren't you on vacation?)
You’ll like the peaceful early evenings... a time for cocktails or sipping wine while overlooking the beach from the private deck above the beach - called "The Perch" - and the rolling surf of the Pacific ... and, of course, like at sunset and strolls on the beach .... why would you want to leave Whale Rock?
In this comfortable beach-style home, you'll marvel at the views. Even the winter storms... and we sometimes get fierce ones... can be mesmerizing. It's like living on the edge. Stay in and read, nap, or walk down to the beach and explore. Whale Rock is a rarity - a beach house vacation rental...

Location and house were great. Waking up and seeing the ocean from the bed was wonderful. Yard was beautiful too. The beach was very nice also. The only fault was it looks like there is dish and maybe a wifi antenna and you cannot use it. No lan line either. Didnt like putting trash in the garage where the ping-pong table was. But that was minor. Will probably try to go back again.

An absolutely amazing experience with an extremely helpful host to help make your stay the easiest and most relxed possible. Our family fell in love with the beautiful house and the breathtaking scenery to go with it. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely save this home for the future.

We are a couple traveling with one in a wheelchair. While this home was wheelchair accessible, it was lacking needs for an accessible house. The bathroom needs grab bars, for example. The rugs need pads, as the rugs slip under foot. The ceilings are vaulted, therefore, we could not install our portable security pole to aid in getting into and out of the bed. The house is dated. The owners should address some much-needed deferred maintenance. The heating system seems to use kerosene, the smell of which is noticeable throughout the house and on the outside deck. The location and views are tremendous. Beautiful escape - peaceful and private! Management company responsive and helpful!
