Loved the location of Alluvia and the views were absolutely stunning. Having breakfast and drinks on the deck outside the restaurant was amazing to see the mountains changing in the light.
It was incredibly quiet and our room was very large with a great sitting room. We were disappointed we didn't get a suite overlooking the pool as it felt like we were a bit less private than those suites. However the facilities in the room were great.
The staff were very friendly and it was in a great position to explore nearby wine estates
We enjoyed the breakfasts and the wine tasting that was included with the price of the room. We had 2 evening meals here and whilst one was great we were disappointed in the other meal but it could just have been an off day.

It was such a beautiful location .
There was nothing not to like !!

Staff were interested and caring. Location was superb with extensive views to the surrounding countryside surrounded by vineyards. The restaurant deck was designed to make the most of the location. Food and wine was fantastic. We even had to return the following day to buy some of the Alluvia wine we'd had with our meal.
The pool's size didn't match the grandness of the location and other facilities.

Everything was good but felt a bit dated. In saying this it didn’t impact our stay in any way

Our room at Oakleaf has the perfect view

Alluvia's draw is its beautiful backdrop with landscapes boasting mountains and vineyards. The room was very comfortable and staff were generally friendly and helpful.
Breakfast service was a little slow, which normally wouldn't be a problem, however we were needing to rush to catch a flight. Other than that we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

The scenery is superb, and the views of the mountains are spectacular, although we did not have a view from our room. Staff were also friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very good. There was a manned gate and the location felt very safe.
The hotel had a sort of “5 year old Ikea furniture feel.” Room was comfortable enough, but had a slightly sticky, beginning to be run-down feel. When I got down to do pushups I noticed the floor had not been well vacuumed. I would also note that the wine is not very good and that the dinner fare, which we did not sample, looked fairly heavy.

Our very expensive suite had no privacy- all doors overlooked the parking and pool with people constantly walking by about 2 meters away

Amazing staff, beautiful room, just wish I had more time to spend in the pool. Definitely booking this place next time I am in Stellenbosch.

The location was awesome, the views really beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean.
The restaurant was closed due to an even which was not ideal. We were looking forward to wine tasting on the property but instead they booked us on a wine tasting tour.
There were no shampoo, shower gel in the room so we needed to ask for it.

Fantastic location and stunning views! Staff were amazing.
There was a wedding on so had to make other dinner arrangements. Not really a complaint, more of an inconvenience as we were not made aware of this until check in.

Location and hotel was nice. But see after ....
But a party of 20 customers was allowed to "party" in the pool area ... up to mid-night.
Pool was unavailable (too may people), Jacuzzi was also locked because in the same area ... and our room was in front of the pool ... lot of noise until mid-night. Not fun!

Room super comfortable, bathroom perfect.
Very nice people at reception.

Fantastic location with what felt like wraparound mountains, trees, vineyards and peace and quiet. We chose a quiet week to come so felt like we had the place to ourselves which was great. Arrived and had a complimentary wine tasting out on the deck. Had delicious dinner and breakfast before we had to head out to the airport. All the staff were super friendly and efficient - special mention to Grant. Our room was comfy and had everything we needed for a one night stay. If we came again we'd chose a bigger pool facing room. Would love to host a party in that marquee down by the pond!
That we had to leave after only one night! Would definitely stay longer next time.

Very quiet and beautiful location. You have to try their wine. Very friendly staff.
If you arrive after 10pm the gate is closed and you might have to wait for 5-10min outside, till someone is coming to open it for you.

Iconic landscape with unique views. Very high service grade and fully luxury setting.
Highly recommended for longer stay.
Menüs on Menues card are particually a bit to unflexible.

Fantastic setting in a small vineyard, didn't use the spa or gym.
The stand out feature is the restaurant terrace overlooking the vineyard with the mountains in the background, the food was very good too as were the staff, enjoyed a free wine tasting upon arrival, beware has to be before 16:00.
The swimming pool area also enjoys a great view.
All good, just look out for wedding or corporate functions, perhaps check when you book.

The staff are incredible and attentive. The property is beautiful
It’s sometimes a bit unclear what the agenda is and everything is an optional extra

Room was lovely with a huge, very comfortable bed. A lot of thought had gone into ensuring guests were comfortable with everything they could need. Beautiful view, food fabulous and very friendly staff, especially Grant.
Noisy guests leaving the restaurant late at night

Restaurant and staff was great
The entire room as well as the outside deck was not very clean, the property needs attention. Outside furniture was old and worn and was not cleaned before or during our arrival.

The weather added to how perfect our stay was, misty, rainy mountains with good food and great wine.
I do think the carpet in our room could be removed and cleaned completely.
There was a private function at the restaurant which we weren't notified about earlier, and lunch at the Alluvia was part of our traveling plans, seeing that we were staying at a few places in the area. We therefore had to change our plans and itinerary for the day, until the evening, which ended being a disaster due to bad weather. Dinner and wine tasting was great

Beautiful scenery all around, spacious suites at a good price. Excellent customer service.
Clean rooms, turn down service, safe and secure.
Close to lots of great wineries and not far from Stellenbosch downtown.

The weather, which the staff can hardly control

We had a fantastic stay at Alluvia! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, the bathroom was excellent, and everything was very clean and comfortable. A perfect place to relax and settle in during our first days in South Africa. Highly recommended!

Location of the restaurant. Not centrally located to the rooms.

The location was beautiful and the room was comfy and clean
Corridor right outside of the bedroom was extremely loud with other guests. People up talking loudly late in the evening and early in the morning. Doors must have been very thin

We liked it all. Great staff, very clean, picturesque and easy to reach location.. We had a fantastic breakfast on the terrace, walked and cycled through the vineyards. There are free e-bikes and bikes. It was a truly wonderful experience! 5 stars!

What a great, relaxing place to be in such a beautiful setting!
The staff were very helpful, especially at the front desk. They kindly stored our luggage and allowed us to use the facilities before check in and after checkout which was very helpful before our long flight home.
They also arranged our shuttle service to the airport at a reasonable price.
We would absolutely love to return one day.

A great value proposition, as the cost is less than other hotels in the area, however you still get the same stunning views. The staff and service was lovely.
Other hotels in the area are just nicer and in my view worth paying that little bit extra for. It feels like you are staying in cheaper accommodation by comparison (the other hotels in the area just do it better).

Very comfortable, we choose this wine estate as it had a pool and restaurant, that was open in the evening. We had a lovely meal and the views from the pool are spectacular.
