Alluvia Boutique Winery & Luxury Accommodation

Comfortable room, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend. Alluvia is perfectly situated to enjoy the wine tasting experiences at nearby farms.

The room wasn't completely set up when we arrived, although we didn't notice it at the time. On the second day, scatter cushions and a throw appeared on the bed. This was probably meant to be there from the start.

The setting is stunning. We enjoyed a memorable dinner while we stayed there.

It would not work if we were not able to do stairs.

Subsequent to a very warm and friendly welcome at reception, we were directed to our accommodation, which certainly lived up to what was advertised. Upon our arrival the weather was cold and wet, but our room had already been warmed up with a heater and an aircon. We were given a free bottle of Alluvia Champagne to celebrate our anniversary and upon looking at the restaurant and menu, decided to have dinner there, rather than in Stellenbosch. GREAT IDEA! The food was exceptional and while not all types of liquor were on offer, the service was brilliant. definitely recommend Alluvia.

The scenery is superb, and the views of the mountains are spectacular, although we did not have a view from our room. Staff were also friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very good. There was a manned gate and the location felt very safe.

The hotel had a sort of “5 year old Ikea furniture feel.” Room was comfortable enough, but had a slightly sticky, beginning to be run-down feel. When I got down to do pushups I noticed the floor had not been well vacuumed. I would also note that the wine is not very good and that the dinner fare, which we did not sample, looked fairly heavy.
