Excellent accommodations! Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, with a whole lot of extras… beach towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler etc. second time staying here, will return again. What an amazing experience and host (Viki)!!! Viki provided an abundance of information on things to do, places to eat and anything you might want to know in the area. All amenities you could possibly think of where there and ready at our disposal. She even offered accommodation for early check in without us asking. The bed was very comfortable and the location of the property was in close relation to so many things! We will definitely be staying here again!!

This studio condo had everything we needed for our stay in Kona. The cleanliness and quality of the unit was top-tier, and exceeded any VRBO we've ever stayed in. Vicki was a great host, with effective, excellent communication before and during our rental. We highly recommend this rental, and would look to rent from Vicki again if we were ever back on the island.

We enjoyed our stay at Kona Shores, but initially were dismayed with the location of our unit with a busy road right outside the bedroom and the lanai located surrounded by the parking lot. In a little quieter location the space would have been perfect as it was very clean, well stocked and convenient to beaches. Thanks!

This is the second time we have stayed at one of Vicki’s condos and it was just as wonderful the second time around! Everything you need for a week in paradise. Vicki is a wonderful host!! There is we ever need her, but doesn’t intrude either. Of course we never needed her. We will definitely stay there again. From the moment I booked this property, Vicki had excellent communication and was very informative. When we arrived, her place was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My husband and I stayed here for the last 3 days of our 11 day vacation. We took advantage of the fully equipped kitchen to cook some of our own meals as dining out can get expensive in Hawaii. The views from the pool are spectacular and we loved watching the sunset over the water. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby and several beaches within 5 miles of the place. I highly recommend staying here if your looking for a clean and affordable base to explore the Big Island.

This was by far the cleanest property we have ever had the privilege to visit. We were in town for a wedding, the location was awesome close to everything we wanted to see and conveniently located for shopping and restaurants. The property is as advertised and much more, we found everything we could have asked for in the kitchen and available in the restroom and needs for the beach. The pool overlooks the ocean and is a short walk across the parking lot. We will absolutely consider staying again when we are able to make our way back to Kona, wonderful Host and the property exceeded our expectations.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The host was amazing in the communication and information she provided both prior to and during our stay. The condo had everything we could possibly need and then some - from tour guide books to beach supplies to fresh fruit upon arrival. It was very clean and comfortable. It does face the road, so we wondered about traffic noise. There is some during the day, but was very quiet at night. There is also a nearby bus stop that was very convenient for going into Kona so we didn’t have to pay for parking! Would definitely stay again!

Our stay was wonderful. From the moment we booked, until our checkout, we never had to worry about anything. You can tell Vicki is very good at being a host and anticipating guests' needs. We especially loved the pool with amazing sunset views; this is such a great asset to this property. I was a little worried about noise from the road due to proximity, but this was not an issue. The apartment is close to the shops and restaurants within a short drive. The apartment has everything we needed so it was comfortable. It’s right next to the main road but quite at night. It’s also about 20-30 minutes from the airport so it was convenient. We had a nice stay.

I can’t express how wonderful this BEAUTIFUL home away from home is. And Vickie was wonderful. 1.) great communication 2.) accessibility was EASY! We arrived very late at night/am and everything was ready for us with full comfort to aid rest. 3.) location near EVERYTHING! 4.) all the extras to make our stay seamless (cooler, beach chairs, towels) we could not have made it better on our own. The unit is CURATED in a beautiful merrie monarch authentic Hawaiian decor. It’s quiet with a nice yard for reading or sitting. The pool was a perfect time to refresh ocean side. If you are looking for a great place to stay look no further. We can’t wait to come back.

Well stocked apartment that is close to downtown Kailua-Kona. Very nice set up for two people. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom and comfortable bed and couch. I liked the shades on the windows that let light on but not out. The pool with the view is a bit of a walk and the place is almost under the stairs, so occasionally there is noise at night. Fantastic binder of where to go. The farmers markets were well worth the trip. Overall 5 stars.

We fully enjoyed our stay. This place had everything we can think of, even beach chairs and an umbrella! The place was very clean, and the shower, the kitchen, the bed and the location were all great. The owner was very easy to connect and very helpful. There is no ocean view from the apartment, and there is a two-minute walk to the pool. It is a nice pool and free.

My Husband and I traveled to Hawaii in November 2022 for our 60th birthdays and our 12th wedding anniversary. We spent the first six days of our trip on the island of Maui and the last six days on The Big Island. Vicki’s condo was absolutely gorgeous! The location is within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and other attractions. Vicki had a bowl of fruit from her garden waiting for us upon arrival, such a special personal touch! The property was extremely clean, and it had anything and everything we needed. Vicki provided detailed instructions for everything and a binder with information about local amenities. She was flexible with our check-in/out times, and the price was very affordable as well. The outdoor area contained a spot for grilling, and the pool was right on the ocean’s edge which had the most amazing sunsets we have ever seen. We will definitely select this condo again when we return to The Big Island. Vicki is an outstanding host, and she even sent us a personal hand written note after our stay. This is by far the best condo we have stayed in to date!!

I am excited to leave a review for this property. There were so many little touches to this rental that made my stay so wonderful. Most rentals have a little bit "throw together" look. A lot of the utensils and cooking accessories will be random or key things missing, but not this place. If it was thrown together I could not tell. Full set of pans, french press, coffee grinder, lots and lots of towels (the towels got me. No idea why, but I just felt really appreciative of all of the towels), huge king bed with extra blankets and pillows, there were notes everywhere about how things were cleaned (this really made me feel safe). The AC in the unit was CLUTCH!! Plus, it was a split unit so it was super quiet. Thank you for a lovely stay!

My husband and I enjoyed our first trip to the big island. This property was very clean with everything we needed. Most days we were out exploring the island with the help of the Shaka Guide app. We swam with the manta rays at night, watched the hot lava at night, did a fair amount of hiking, looked at waterfalls, and explored caves/lava tubes. We also saw sea turtles and saw a sea cucumber at a white sand beach- so cool.

The condo was as described and perfect for our needs. The bed was super comfy and the pull out couch worked fine for our young adult grandson. The host had everything we could possibly need, even a sound machine to drown out hubby’s snoring. She left ideas for places to visit and we snorkeled there and saw fantastic colorful fish. This is a very comfortable condo in a great location. The host is wonderful, easy to communicate with, and included personalized touches to make us feel welcome and almost like family! She offered early check-in when the condo was ready, and she followed up with a personalized note after the stay. The space was clean, well appointed, and perfect for me and my teen while visiting the big island. You can walk to shopping/restaurants or catch a great sunset poolside here. I would definitely recommend this place for a visit!
