About this bed and breakfast
The Vaquero Room is part of the Estable Building at Asante Lodging and Events. The Estable Building (“Stable”) was originally designed to house horses but was renovated into the stunning stone building that it is today. The Vaquero Room and the Gaucho Room are both part of the Estable Building. Each room has its own private entrance and a mini fridge stocked with bottled waters and a coffee maker with coffee essentials. Each room has a TV with Roku and high-speed internet.
Located just minutes away from Dripping Springs, there are plenty of fun activities to fill your daytime hours, including:
-Dr. Pound Historical Farmstead Museum
-Local swimming spots like Hamilton Pool and Jacob’s Well
-Pedernales Falls State Park
-Milton Reimer Ranch Park
-Treaty Oak Distillery
-Bell Springs Winery
And, whether you are looking for a romantic night or an evening for the family to enjoy together, Dripping Springs has restaurants and activities to fill those needs, including:
-Epicure Restaurant
-Creek Road Café
-Route 12 Filling Station

Should you require additional lodging, there are a total of five lodging facilities on Asante Lodging and Event’s property with the capacity to sleep a total of 34 guests.
Only guests on the booking are allowed on the property unless discussed with the manager prior to check-in.

5 day advance notice for all fire pit requests, Asante staff must lite firepit. Fees apply.
Events on the property are allowed, conditions and fees will apply.
Dates may require full property rental.

We stayed 3 nights for the April 8th solar eclipse and it was TOTALY AWESOME! (see what I did there?)
The Vaquero room at Asante was a perfect spot for our eclipse weekend in Dripping Springs.
The room, while perhaps on the smaller side, was comfortable cozy and perfect for a single or couple's getaway. The bed was super comfortable, the mini-fridge was stocked with water, and the bathroom was clean and loaded with towels etc. We were a little nervous before getting there, staying in a building that was originally a stable, but we loved it! The renovation kept the historic charm while offering modern amenities like a Roku TV and high-speed internet.
The property is BEAUTIFUL and unique! If anything, the Estable listing undersells it. Sitting on the patio relaxing with a drink, listening to evening sounds and seeing an African animal herd moving around off in the distance is now a treasured memory. I can only imagine the higher-tier lodgings are even more amazing and I would love to be able to stay in one in the future.
The location was perfect for exploring Dripping Springs and the surrounding towns. A surprising number of wineries, distilleries, and breweries, along with great local restaurants were all just a short drive away. I only wish I had more time and more stomaches.
While we didn't need much from the staff, Kimberly was above and beyond! She quickly replied after hours and even called to inform us of severe weather possibilities one evening.
A++ all around!

We stayed in the Vaquero room at the Asante Lodge for Labor Day weekend. The property is amazing and the room was clean with a very comfy bed. It was a delight to see the Kudu, Dama, Gazelle and deer each day. The location was perfect & we look forward to returning.

I just want to preface this review that we only actually spent one night in the Vaquero room, and the second night was in the main house.
The Vaquero room is incredibly cozy, albeit a little cramped. I believe that would be the one negative aspect I would give this room. But for a roof over your head for the night it did the trick. The bed and pillows where also wonderfully comfortable.
Unfortunately during the evening of our first night, we did have pipe issues for this room though and lost all water. We did send a message to the owners first thing in the morning though and they QUICKLY got to work on the issue. They were incredibly wonderful hosts and did everything they could to handle our problem in a timely manner.
Since they were not able to get the pipes fixed right away, they actually offered for us to stay in the main house since it was not booked for the weekend. Holy. Moly. This house is beautiful. The shower and bath are amazing, and my fiance lost her mind when she saw the closet. Very very great stay. Only issue with the main house was the bed was not quite as comfortable as the bed in the first room.
Another addition to how great our hosts where, during our stay in the main house randomly that Saturday morning the TV in our room died. There was just a pop and then it went black. Sent them a quick message. Within 2 hours we had a brand new TV being hooked up into our room!
I can't say enough about these hosts, and I highly recommend if you are ever in the area to do wine tastings or just want to visit Dripping Springs, this is a great place to stay. I will definitely be coming back.
