About this house rental

This 1901 Victorian home was beautifully and lovingly remodeled with family and social time in mind, combining an open floorplan with the old world charm of exposed brick, original wood floors and the historical character of the house. The location is exceptional, just 4 blocks from Pearl Street and a 10-minute stroll from vibrant heart of downtown Boulder and Pearl Street shops, restaurants and coffee shops, a 10-minute walk to CU, and a 10-minute walk to mountain trials and hiking.

The house has a warm and inviting feeling throughout, fantastic lighting, 10 foot ceilings on the main floor, and vaulted ceilings upstairs. The main floor was designed for time together, with a kitchen that is open to the dining room, living room, and a breakfast nook. A family room is slightly set apart and offers an HD television and family board games. The spacious backyard features seasonal raspberries and apples, a large patio for outdoor meals, a gas grill, and sky chairs hung from apple trees. The covered front porch is a relaxing spot to sip a morning coffee or a cool drink in the afternoon. Hardwood floors, soapstone counters, handmade quilts and original artwork are throughout the house.

The house is perfect for those who want family and social time—but also those who are traveling together but want a bit more privacy. The upstairs floor has three bedrooms and two full baths. The upstairs master suite includes a king bed, a walk-in closet, and a very spacious tiled master bathroom with dual sinks, a glassed in stand-up shower for two people, and a separate soaking tub. A gas fireplace connects the master bedroom and master bathroom. The sunny second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony with French doors that open to views of the Flatirons, as well as a desk for those who would like a place to work. The third upstairs bedroom also has a queen bed and vaulted ceilings. A whole-house evaporative cooler brings fresh, cool air to each of the three upstairs bedrooms on warmer evenings.

The included carpeted and sunny basement/lower level features 9’ ceilings and, in addition to simply providing additional space, is a great feature for guests such as two couples traveling together who value social time but also privacy. The basement features a large second family room with a sectional sofa and separate television, toys for children, and a treadmill for those rare rainy days; a bedroom with a queen bed; and bathroom with a tiled, glassed-in stand up shower.

Enjoy the historic homes, beautiful gardens, and large shade trees of the Whittier neighborhood. Our guest book includes practical information such as the nearest grocery store, plus fun things to do like trail maps, a public pool two blocks away, yoga studios, and directions to the beach at the Boulder Reservoir, to cool down the kids on hot days.

A Pack & Play (which can be used as a crib or set up with a baby bassinet) and high chair seat can be provided on request. Due to allergies, non-shedding dogs only may be considered but are subject to negotiation and may incur extra fees.

Other things to note:

* As our reviews and ratings show, our home is professionally cleaned and well-maintained, and we do our best to resolve any issues quickly. That said, minor things like a slow drain, squirrel-chewed Internet cable outage, or other maintenance quirks can occasionally happen.
* We’ve got professional mini-split AC systems on the main floor and upstairs, and they usually keep things nice and cool. If one ever goes down (rare, but possible), we’ll provide portable units to keep you comfortable.
* This is Colorado, where nature likes to say hello. In addition to the squirrels and raccoons, you might spot the occasional pest like a spider, centipede, or box elder bug.
* The neighborhood is generally peaceful, but occasionally you might hear a barking dog or backyard gathering, earplugs are a good idea if you're sensitive to sound.

We're just a message away if you need anything. Thanks in advance for rolling with the little quirks that come with life in Boulder.
